Despite six teams being on a bye for Week 14, there are still plenty of great options on Monkey Knife Fight. Three Game Types are offered, including "More Or Less," "Rapid Fire" and "Stat Shootout." For a full breakdown of the rules for each game, see the House Rules page. Let's dive into some of the contests within each Game Type and discuss how things might play out
More Or Less Contest
Starting things will be a 2/2 goal for 3X the prize. We will pick sides on Josh Allen 265.5 passing yards and Jared Goff 269.5 passing yards. For Allen, take the under. He has been quiet in the passing department lately, throwing for fewer than 255 yards in five of his last six games. He also has a difficult matchup against the Jets, who have allowed the sixth-fewest passing yards per game in the league. When the Bills faced the Jets in Week 9, Allen threw for just 205 yards.
The over is the way to go with Goff. The Lions are in great shape at wide receiver with Amon-Ra St. Brown, DJ Chark and Josh Reynolds healthy. Even first-round pick Jameson Williams returned to the field last week against the Jaguars. In that game, Goff threw for 340 yards and two touchdowns. Up next is a matchup with the Vikings, who allow the most passing yards per game in the league.
Rapid Fire Contest
An option to target is a 2/2 goal for 2.5X the prize. The battles are Joe Burrow vs. Kirk Cousins passing yards (with Cousins receiving a +4.5 passing yards bonus) and Justin Jefferson vs. Stefon Diggs receiving yards (with Diggs receiving a +11.5 receiving yards bonus). For the quarterbacks, take Cousins. He has a great matchup with the Lions allowing the sixth-most passing yards per game in the league. Burrow plays the Browns, who allow nearly 40 fewer passing yards per game than the Lions. When Burrow faced the Browns in Week 8, he was limited to a modest 232 passing yards.
With regard to the wide receivers, take Jefferson over Diggs. He has the potential for a monster stat line with how bad the Lions have been at defending the pass. Jefferson has also been red-hot, posting at least 115 receiving yards in three of his last five games. Diggs hasn't reached 100 receiving yards since Week 10, and the Jets provide the more difficult matchup.
Stat Shootout Contest
Let's focus on three players to combine for at least 2.5 touchdowns for 1.5X the prize. Our first choice will be Derrick Henry, who will take on the Jaguars at home. The Eagles held Henry in check last week, limiting him to 30 yards on 11 carries. It also marked the first game all season in which Henry failed to receive at least one carry inside the red zone. Don't expect to see similar resistance from the Jaguars, who gave up three rushing touchdowns to Henry the lone time he faced them last season.
Let's complete the trio with two players from the same game, taking Dalvin Cook and Jamaal Williams. With the Vikings and Lions both struggling on defense, this has the potential to be a high-scoring affair. Cook recorded a rushing touchdown against the Lions in Week 3 and he has eight total touchdowns through 12 games this season. Williams has been one of the best at reaching the end zone in the league, recording a whopping 14 touchdowns on the ground. That included two rushing touchdowns the last time he took on the Vikings.
