FantasyDraft NFL: Divisional Round Picks

FantasyDraft NFL: Divisional Round Picks

This article is part of our FantasyDraft NFL series.

Each week, RotoWire will provide picks and values for your FantasyDraft lineups. Users have a salary cap of $100,000 to select a lineup comprised of a quarterback, two running backs, two receivers, a tight end, one FLEX spot, a kicker and a defense. The scoring is standard point-per-reception.

FantasyDraft is running three headline contests this weekend:

- NFL $25K Playoff Challenge, $25 entry fee
- NFL $10K Divisional Battle, $10 entry fee
- NFL $5K Still In It, $5 entry fee

Without further ado, here are our fantasy football values and picks for Divisional Weekend on FantasyDraft. With just four games on the slate this weekend, we'll outline one player at each skill position with analysis of why that player is the best choice on FantasyDraft.

Quarterback

Tom Brady, New England, $16,800

Value is hard to come by with a limited slate. Brady is priced as the QB5, but he has the best matchup of any quarterback of the weekend. Baltimore has given up the most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks among teams left in the playoffs, including 334 yards to Ben Roethlisberger last week.

The Patriots relied on the run in the second half of the season, as Brady topped 35 pass attempted just twice since throwing 53 against the Broncos in Week 10. In the last seven games, Brady has thrown 11 touchdowns to six interceptions. But with Brady having the top matchup and a healthy Rob Gronkowski, the Patriots quarterback is an excellent bet to reach value.

Running Back

C.J. Anderson, Denver, $13,900

Anderson has been a safety valve for the Broncos down the stretch, as Peyton Manning just doesn't seem right with the velocity rapidly decreasing on his throws. Since Week 10, Anderson has averaged 20 fantasy points per game, falling below 19.5 fantasy points just once while eclipsing 25 fantasy points five times.

Anderson squares off against the Colts, who have allowed the most fantasy points to opposing running backs among teams left in the playoffs. Last week, the Colts allowed 30 fantasy points to the Bengals' running backs duo of Jeremy Hill and Giovani Bernard.

With Anderson catching his fair share of passes (33 in nine games), he has a high floor and an even higher ceiling. Priced as the RB4 on FantasyDraft, Anderson is an excellent play.

Wide Receiver

Davante Adams, Green Bay, $6,000

Given all the premier players in this weekend's slate, you will need to find salary cap relief at a couple roster spots. Adams is priced at the minimum on FantasyDraft, but he has upside as a member of the Packers' prolific passing offense. Adams hasn't had a big game since Week 13 against the Patriots, but he's worth a minimum-priced flier to clear ca room for top talent in the rest of the lineup.

Adams will likely face off against Orlando Scandrick, who has allowed 40 catches on 53 targets in coverage this season.

Tight End

Rob Gronkowski, New England, $13,800

Gronk is the highest-priced tight end this weekend. Despite the price tag, he remains an excellent selection on FantasyDraft. If Gronk were a receiver, he'd be priced as WR7 just above Kelvin Benjamin.

Gronkowski faces the Ravens, who have defended the tight end well this year with rookie C.J. Mosley and others. But Gronkowski has lined up out wide and in the slot for the Patriots of late, and he's the top offensive option in New England's passing game. He has at least five catches and/or a touchdown in all but one game this season, and he is the second-most targeted player on the Patriots (Julian Edelman) with 131 targets in 15 games. Gronkowski is the guy to own this week, especially at a thin position. And, of course, he is the perfect stack with Brady.

Good luck this week, and do not forget to join the fun at FantasyDraft and sign up today.
