Isiaha Mike Over 18.5 Points+Rebounds+Assists (+105 bet365)
Don't look now, but since Bayern hired coach Svetislav Pesic they have been winning games despite a long injury list -- which still contains several players, per RotoWire's EuroLeague Injury Report. The competition hasn't been elite, but last week's win over Panathinaikos was certainly encouraging. Bayern could once again be shorthanded with all of Nenad Dimitrijevic, Stefan Jovic and Kamar Baldwin uncertain, and if they all sit Mike should benefit in the playing time department.
Since the start of January, Mike has consistently logged at least 25 minutes per game with solid usage. Partizan is having a tough season, especially against opposing forwards, ranking bottom-5 in that split over their last five EuroLeague games. This sets up nicely for Mike, who should continue filling the stat sheet.
Bruno Fernando Over 7.5 Points (-122 FanDuel)
Fernando has popped up in this piece quite a bit this season, and for good reason. When he starts, he's been good to us. As always, this play is contingent on him occupying a starting spot, which he should. He has started every game since Tyrique Jones left.
Partizan did bring in Tonye Jekiri, who has looked solid, and Dylan Osetkowski remains in the rotation, but Bayern has been leaning heavily into two-big lineups. That's key for Fernando, who can score against just about any matchup as long as he's pushing close to 20 minutes. Over the last 10 games, Bayern has allowed opposing centers to rack up plenty of points in the paint. If you're not sold on Fernando, keep an eye on Jekiri and Osetkowski plays before tip-off, as this matchup and rotation style could benefit multiple bigs.
One extra note: the backcourt injuries have led to more minutes for veteran Nick Calathes, a pass-first point guard who is always looking to feed his bigs down low.
TJ Shorts Over 13.5 Points+Assists (-112 bet365)
Jerian Grant saved us from taking too much damage on Shorts last week, but I'm buying the dip, baby. Kendrick Nunn remains out, and although Shorts didn't start in Round 22 and probably will not Tuesday, I'm not too concerned.
Despite shooting just 4-of-10 his last time out, Shorts still put up 11 points+assists in what I think was a tougher matchup than it initially appeared -- my mistake for not thinking that through beforehand. Bayern plays a lot of bigger guards , which created problems for a smaller player like Shorts and helped explain why Grant, with a size advantage, had a much stronger game.
Tuesday's contest sets up differently however. With Baskonia running a faster pace and featuring a couple of undersized guards, I like Shorts to come off the bench and get hot quickly. He needs a big night, and this feels like the kind of spot where you don't want to be shaking your head afterward.
