DraftKings LoL: Sunday LEC Cheat Sheet

DraftKings LoL: Sunday LEC Cheat Sheet

This article is part of our DraftKings League of Legends series.

Games (EDT)

  • 11:00 a.m. SK Gaming vs. MAD Lions
  • 11:50 a.m. FC Schalke 04 vs. Rogue
  • 12:40 p.m. Origen vs. Misfits
  • 1:30 p.m. G2 Esports vs. Team Vitality
  • 2:20 p.m. Fnatic vs. Excel Esports

SK vs. MAD

SK Gaming is surprising everyone with their 2-0 record even though they had a pretty easy schedule. That should change against a pretty solid MAD Lions unit who won their last game convincingly. SK and MAD both play an objective-based style and MAD players are simply bounds ahead of their Sunday counterparts.

Prediction: MAD Win

MAD Players to Target: Humanoid $7,800, Carzzy $7,800, Shadow $7,600

S04 vs. Rogue

FC Schalke 04 is another team that has nothing going for them. They don't know if they want to pressure mid lane, or press the side lanes or even teamfight in certain scenarios. This seems to be an in-game leadership problem as this team looks horrible. SK Gaming was able to take every dragon from them and then bleed them out to late game with no answer. This should be an easy game for Rogue as they are showing us how clean they can work around both Larssen and Hansama to carry games. Rogue should be able to just work the botside and control dragon like they have the last two games to get an early advantage on Hansama.

Prediction: Rogue Win

Rogue Players to Target: Everyone

OG vs. Misfits

Misfits right now seem like the team that can't handle slow objective-based teams, instead

OG vs. Misfits

Misfits right now seem like the team that can't handle slow objective-based teams, instead always looking to skirmish. There have been several instances wheere they would go to an objective, attempt to finish the objective despite knowing the opposition was there, just in an effort to bait them into a teamfight. When this happens, Misfits is already low on health and its an easy cleanup for the other team. OG came out early and strong against G2 and they were a completely different team than what we saw Day 1. This is the Origen that I was hoping to see, and from here on out I expect them to retain that form.

Prediction: Origen Win

Origen Players to Target: Upset $7,600, Nukeduck $7,200, Destiny $5,400

G2 vs. Vitality

Next two games are simple. G2 should smash here, especially after losing to Origen. Vitality has shown some fight and understanding of this meta, but the one mistakes young players do against G2 is to fight them, and this will be a very bloody game.

Prediction: G2 Win

G2 Players to Target: Everyone

FNC vs. xL

Another case where Fnatic should crush Excel Esports, but this would be a good game to target despite Excel's slow playstyle. Caedral and Special have looked real bad to the start of the split and I was hoping to see more aggressive early game from xL. Selfmade and Nemesis look like they have really good synergy going on, and this is enough to takeout xL who should be a lower tier team.

Prediction: FNC Win

FNC Players to Target: Nemesis $7,400, Selfmade $7,200, Bwipo $6,800
