LPL - LGD (1-6) vs. V5 (0-7)

Yikes. We start the morning off with a true toilet bowl with the two worst teams in the LPL. I think this is a fantasy gold mine if you can figure out which team will win because all V5 want to do is fight, and LGD aren't the cleanest team either. Both sides give up a lot of kills and get a lot of kills when they win. LGD got ran over by VG in their last game, and while their previous games against IG and SN looked like they had things figured out, but you have to consider how much IG and SN were trolling. I can make a solid case for V5 because they have been consistently bad at everything besides team fighting, and even then they keep engaging when they don't need to and forcing onto the wrong player. V5 early game and map control has been decent and has had some early gold advantage in most of their games. This is where I think the lack of leadership comes into play because once they have a lead

This is where I think the lack of leadership comes into play because once they have a lead mid to late game they are clueless on what to do next. I think that whoever is making the calls should make everyone fully commit because I would rather see a team go all-in on a bad play and maybe outplay their opponent than being passive on a certain outcome. I am definitely targeting this game, and I don't think either side is wrong, though I expect thr majority of the field being on LGD.

Prediction: V5 2-1 or LGD 2-0

Bets: V5 ML (+245)

V5 Players to Target: Aliez (TOP $5,400), Mole (MID $6,400), y4 (ADC $6,400), Max (SUP $5,000)

LGD Players to Target: Peanut (JNG $7,800), Yuuki (MID $8,000), Kramer (ADC $8,200), Killua (SUP $6,000)

LPL - WE (5-3) vs. BLG (2-6)

This is another game I think will be closer than others because WE are playing out of their minds right now. Against SN, WE were finally able to punish Huanfeng and dismantle them in the last game of the series. I knew one day SN will be figured out, and WE as one of those proactive teams to do so. That being said, WE hasn't beaten anyone good, and the top teams they have played this team got stomped on. BLG has had a very tough schedule after beating VG and RNG. They have lost to SN (who was running hot), LNG (which BLG got out drafted by), and went to three games against eStar, FPX, etc.. You get the point; this team is very talented but their drafts have been holding them back. However, that is the only issue I have with them. I truly think BLG will turn it around this game and draft accordingly to beat WE because Fofo and Meteor are mechanically better than teacherma and baeshang.

Prediction: BLG 2-1, I can see a 2-0 as well

Bets: BLG ML (+125)

BLG Players to Target: Meteor (JNG $6,000), Fofo ($6,800), Jiniao ($6,600), XinMo ($4,400), BLG (Team $4,800)

LPL - IG (6-1) vs. SN (4-4)

SN finally got exposed because they were such a one dimensional team, and they had to get punished sooner or later. IG lost a really tough one to Estar a couple days ago and they got embarrassed by the youngsters. This team is too good to let that happen again, and they are definitely going to come out and stomp in this matchup against SN. Don't overlook this matchup because IG are still one of the best teams in the world, and when they are in serious mode they are a force to be reckoned with.

Prediction: IG 2-0

Bets: None

IG Players to Target: TheShy (TOP $7,400), Rookie (MID $8,200), Puff (ADC $8,400), Southwind (SUP $6,400)

LCK - Damwon (4-7) vs. APK (2-8)

This is one of the few games I don't mind targeting from the Damwon side because they have looked a little better coming back from the break. They decided to play ghost, and it seems like he is already fitting well with the team. They almost had Game 2 against GenG but clid is a monster and stole that baron and then forced Damwon on the back foot. APK still look to be one of the worst teams in the LCK but have showed some improvement in their macro and team fights coming out of the break against T1. I still don't think they are good enough for Damwon, and I actually like this LCK game for DFS.

Prediction: Damwon 2-0

Bets: None

Damwon Players to Target: Nuguri (TOP $7,000), Canyon (JNG $6,800), Showmaker (MID $7,600), Damwon (Team $5,600)

GenG (10-1) vs. AF (6-4)

I like AFS a lot, but the fact they are messing around with their starters has me not like their upside anymore. I don't get why LCK teams love to sub guys in and out, but I believe this is the reason why this region fell off after their couple years of winning worlds. AFS have talented players who play aggressively during the early game but are easily punished when Kiin can't solo push the side lanes. GenG are a clean team with an identity every game they play, and this is why they are the best team in the region. I hope AFS goes back and plays their regular starters to focus on this important matchup because playoffs are creeping up soon for the LCK and there are teams that will contend for some spots.

Prediction: GenG 2-1

Bets: None

GenG Players to Target: Clid (JNG $6,600), BDD (MID $7,200), Ruler (ADC $7,200), Life (SUP $5,200), GenG (Team $5,200)

DRX (7-4) vs. Griffin (2-9)

I still don't get all this DRX hate because if you are a new watcher then you might be as clueless as Rouge on Friday. In the games DRX has played they have made one crucial mistake, and in this meta one big mistake late game can cost you the game. They botched one baron fight against T1, and T1 being a really good team snowballed them in the first game. They were going blow for blow in Game 2, and then the same thing happened when they were trying to stop T1 from getting Soul and they lost that fight and it was over. This team is young, but they are a generational talent that have already proven to be good and have the players to develop into an eStar type team.

Prediction: DRX 2-0

Bets: None

DRX Players to Target: Pyosik (JNG $7,000), Chovy (MID $7,000), Deft (ADC $7,600), Keria (SUP $5,600)

STACKS TO CONSIDER

  • Cash: DRX/GenG, GenG/IG, WE/IG
  • GPP: V5/IG, BLG/IG
  • My Stacks: GenG/IG, V5/IG
