Rest-of-Season Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Sanders’ fall was the story of the draft, with various theories offered to explain why. In a nutshell, his slide to the fifth round means the league believes his raw talent isn't overwhelming enough to overcome his flaws, making him a likely backup at best. Sanders had an FBS-high 74.0 completion percentage last season, and he threw 64 touchdowns against just 13 interceptions during two seasons as Colorado's starter. He’s an accurate passer, but with merely average arm strength, and he's surprisingly slow for the son of Deion Sanders. Even so, Cleveland’s QB situation gives Sanders a chance to start. Dillon Gabriel, the Browns’ third-round pick, is undersized and without an elite trait. Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett are the veteran options, at least until Deshaun Watson returns from Achilles' surgery (which may not happen until late in the season, if at all). The situation gives Sanders a shot at Year 1 playing time despite his draft-day slide, but arm strength and mobility look like limiting factors for fantasy value even if he proves competent as a pro. Tosses TD in Week 13 loss
Sanders completed 16 of 25 passes for 149 yards and a touchdown and added six rushing yards on his only carry in Sunday's 26-8 loss to the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
Both teams' passing attacks struggled to deal with the high winds in Cleveland, and Sanders also briefly left the game in the fourth quarter to get checked out for an ankle injury, but the rookie played reasonably well while he was on the field. The Browns briefly held an 8-7 lead early in the second quarter when Sanders found Harold Fannin for a 34-yard touchdown that was then followed up by a Quinshon Judkins two-point conversion, but the Niners dominated the rest of the way. Per Zac Jackson of The Athletic, head coach Kevin Stefanski has already named Sanders his starting quarterback for a Week 14 tilt against the Titans in a game that could have big implications for the top of the 2026 NFL Draft.

Working on rapport with Jeudy
Sanders said that he and Jeudy are continuing to build rapport but that it will take time, Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Jeudy and Sanders were spotted having an animated discussion after the duo couldn't connect on a pass attempt late in the third quarter. Sanders elaborated on the situation Tuesday, and he downplayed the conflict by saying he's working on building a relationship with Jeudy while also taking the blame for the miscommunication Sunday. The Browns have come under scrutiny for not giving Sanders first-team reps earlier in the season, and he's struggled to connect with both Jeudy and Cedric Tillman through his first two starts.
