OMG vs. V5

V5 finally won their first game and the team played pretty well overall. Their drafts and team fights were solid all around, but they did not move the needle enough for me. DMO looked horrible, showing the same problems as last split with Natural. There were some times were DMO look like they were coming back, but at that point they were too far behind. OMG also got rolled by RNG, as OMG were getting caught out a lot. It was a lot of mis-positioning by the OMG players, who were trying to change up their style. They looked better with curse in the game, and now that their full lineup is out, I'm curious if they are going to continue their new look or go back to their old ways. It is a breath of fresh air to see OMG try something new, and even if they failed at it against a top team, something like this against a lower team like V5 might be a bit too much. This is going to be a closer series than expected, but if OMG want to win they will need to make sure they are coordinating together around the map because V5 want to team fight every second. V5 will still have late-game miscommunications on where to go and what to do, and if this game is remotely cloe then they are going to

Prediction: OMG 2-1

OMG Players to Target: icon ($7,400), SMLZ ($7,400), cold ($5,400)

LGD vs. Estar

Two teams we haven't seen yet and two teams that had major roster construction. eStar lost cryin, who was their main carry that they liked to play around. This is a pretty big downgrade to FenFen as their coordinator and early game presence of a mid laner is going to be lacking. eStar's game plan was for cryin to roam down bot to get Wink ahead and then play for dragon. FenFen's comfort picks are usually the late game champions such as Kassadin. A team like LGD, who upgraded their mid laner to Xyie, and support to Mark to back up Kramer, who arguably had one of his best splits. Peanut also looked like the LPL league matches his style, and he was able to get his carries ahead in the early game. What LGD lacked in the spring split was direction after their early game lead, and by bringing in Xyie, they have another voice on the team that should boost them to a playoff spot. LGD are high on my radar because the additions make them into a complete set. This should be a bloody game, and a game stack could be a winning GPP play if it goes to three.

Prediction: LGD 2-1

LGD Players to Target: Everyone

eStar Players to Target: Wei ($7,000), Wink ($7,800), ShiauC ($5,800)
