College Football DFS: Wednesday MACtion Slate

Wednesday MACtion is in full effect on Wednesday, and both DraftKings and FanDuel are providing the full allotment of the day's available games.

SLATE OVERVIEW

Eastern Michigan at Ball State (-8.5) O/U: 59.5

Central Michigan at Northern Illinois (+7.5) O/U: 58

Toledo at Western Michigan (-2.5) O/U: 59.5

All three of these games have respectable O/U numbers, and due to the small slate size, we won't be fading any matchups here.  The best game for the money falls to the EMU/BSU matchup, and I'm endorsing a lot of targets from this contest today.

QUARTERBACK

We've got Eli Peters (DK $8,100, FD $10,500) at the top on both sites, and if you're MME'ing this slate, you'll have some shares in the Toledo signal-caller.  However, I'm banking on Toledo to get more done on the ground against a Western Michigan team that they pummeled into submission with 275 rushing yards last year.  When you add that the Broncos gave up 130 rushing yards to lowly Akron last week, it further accentuates where Toledo's offensive focus will lie.

Drew Plitt, Ball State (DK $7,800, FD $9,600  vs. Eastern Michigan

For the money, I think Plitt is the best bet at QB on Wednesday, as the three-headed monster of Plitt, Caleb Huntley and Justin Hall were as good as advertised in their first game against Miami.  While they lost in a 38-31 shootout, it wasn't the offense that was at fault - they simply couldn't defend the pass.  That's why I view this contest as a pass-based shootout that should benefit both teams, which is why I also like Preston Hutchinson (DK $6,300, FD $8,800) at the other end of this game.

Daniel Richardson, Central Michigan (DK $6,300, FD $8,600) @ Northern Illinois

Richardson is one of the best bargains on the slate and quickly jumped atop the MAC heap as one of the week's most productive quarterbacks.  He threw for two touchdowns and ran for another, leading the team to a win over Ohio.  With Kobe Lewis (DK $7,600, FD $10,200) in the backfield, keeping defenses honest, Richardson was free to implement all elements of the passing game and should have no issue in repeating this feat against the Huskies, who they trounced 48-10 last season.

RUNNING BACK

Bryant Koback, Toledo (DK $7,900, FD $9,700) @ Western Michigan

Koback racked up 124 yards of total offense in last week's thrashing of Bowling Green, and also caught a touchdown pass in the game. His multi-dimensional stat line bodes well for another good week, as the Rockets have had the Falcons' number in recent years.  While Western Michigan's defense handled Akron, Toledo's offense presents another challenge entirely. 

Caleb Huntley, Ball State (DK $7,300, FD $10,000)  vs. Eastern Michigan

Huntley is part of the three-headed monster we discussed earlier. Huntley rushed for 130 yards and two touchdowns on the ground in the 38-31 loss to Miami, and there should be a good deal of offensive firepower in this contest as well.

Darius Boone, Eastern Michigan (DK $4,900, FD $7,000) @ Ball State

As we continue to target this game, we move down the chart and go to Boone, whose only demerit was an inability to find the end zone last week.  With few metrics to rely on in the early weeks of conference play, one score would have probably raised Boone's salary to 6k or more, so we're getting a decent bargain for him. He averaged 7.6 yards per carry in last week's loss to Penn State, and the freshman should also play a prominent role Wednesday.

WIDE RECEIVER

Justin Hall (DK $7,100, FD $9,400) and Yo'Heinz Tyler (DK $4,600, FD $7,000), Ball State

I mention both Ball State receivers together as a favorable stack with Drew Plitt. While Hall is going to reap more benefits in this game, Tyler stole a bit of Hall's thunder with eight catches and 66 yards of his own last week. The article sounds like a bit of a broken record with the emphasis on this matchup,  so fading Hall and going with Tyler in a few lineups is a good way to diversify the load we have on this game.

Skyy Moore, Western Michigan (DK $5,600, FD $7,700) vs. Toledo

I expect a bit more out of Moore this week, as the Broncos really didn't need the passing game against Akron and leaned on their running backs. Kaleb Eleby (DK $7,400, FD $9,400) is worth considering as a stack if you opt for Moore in some of your lineup builds, as I expect that the Broncos will keep this game close.

JaCorey Sullivan, Central Michigan (DK $4,700, FD $6,900) @ Northern Illinois

Sullivan only caught three passes last week, but based on his prolific production last year, Sullivan is bound to connect with Daniel Richardson with more frequency as the season progresses. Much like Darius Boone, one score would have separated Sullivan from other receivers at this price point and would be a lot more expensive. With Richardson's star on the rise, Sullivan's upside is unmistakable.
