Timberwolves Remain Undefeated At Home
The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the visiting Philadelphia 76ers, 112-99, at Target Center on Wednesday evening.

The Timberwolves jumped out to a ferocious start and held a, 37-20, lead after one quarter. The Sixers brought a better effort in the second and trimmed the deficit by nine, to make it and eight-point game by halftime. Both sides came out strong in the third, but the hosts pulled ahead later in the quarter, pushing back up to a 12-point advantage heading into the final frame. The visitors had no answers down the stretch, as the Timberwolves closed out their third straight win and moved to 7-0 at home.

Anthony Edwards led the Timberwolves with 31 points, six rebounds, six assists and two steals, in 36 minutes. Karl-Anthony Towns followed up with 23 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks, while Rudy Gobert totaled 13 points, 11 rebounds, three assists and three blocks. The Timberwolves shot 48.3 percent, including 10-for-26 shooting.

In the absence of Joel Embiid, Marcus Morris, Tyrese Maxey and De'Anthony Melton tallied 16 points each to lead the way for the Sixers. Tobias Harris added 15 points, while Paul Reed chipped in 10, off the bench. The 76ers shot 39.1 percent from the field, including 7-for-32 from long range.

The 76ers (10-5) will look to bounce back as they take on the Thunder in OKC on Saturday. The Timberwolves (11-3) play host to the Kings on Friday.
