Mavericks Defeat Lakers, 104-101
The Dallas Mavericks defeated the host Los Angeles Lakers, 104-101, at Crypto.com Arena on Wednesday.

While there were 10 lead changes in the first quarter, there weren't any until the final 90 seconds. Dallas went nearly 10 minutes without scoring in the second half, and Los Angeles recaptured the lead with just 1:16 left. Kyrie Irving responded with a game-winning three on the next possession, despite LA outscoring them in the fourth quarter, 30-13. Dallas scored the final five points of the game, with LeBron James missing a game-tying three at the buzzer. The Mavericks won the turnover battle, 11-4, while outscoring LA in fastbreak points, 18-6.

The Mavericks (10-5) were led by Luka Doncic, collecting 30 points, 12 rebounds, eight assists and two steals. Irving had 28 points, six rebounds, two assists and two steals. No other starter scored more than six points. Josh Green led the bench with 15 points and three boards. Dereck Lively led the team with 10 rebounds.

The Lakers (9-7) were led by James, tallying 26 points, nine rebounds and seven assists. D'Angelo Russell registered 15 points, three rebounds and five assists. Taurean Prince totaled 14 points, six rebounds and two assists, while Anthony Davis had 10 points, 14 rebounds and four assists. Austin Reaves led the bench with 17 points, six rebounds and six assists.

Both teams are off until Saturday, with Los Angeles traveling to face the Cleveland Cavaliers and Dallas staying in LA to play the Los Angeles Clippers.
