Nuggets Hold Off Pistons In Denver
The Denver Nuggets defeated the visiting Detroit Pistons, 131-114, at Ball Arena on Sunday evening.

The game got out to a competitive start, and the hosts held a two-point lead after one quarter. The Pistons kept up the pace and grabbed a brief lead in the second, before the Nuggets rallied to an eight-point advantage heading into halftime. The Nuggets took their play to another level in the third and outscored the visitors, 43-28, in the quarter to take a 23-point advantage into the final quarter. The Pistons kept up the fight in the fourth but the deficit was too much to overcome, as they fell for their fourth straight loss. This also marks the third win in four games for the Nuggets.

Jamal Murray led the Nuggets with 37 points, five rebounds, four assists, a steal and a block, in 30 minutes. Michael Porter and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope followed up with 18 points each, while Peyton Watson added 15 points, six rebounds, a steal and a block.

Meanwhile, Jalen Duren led the Pistons with 20 points, five rebounds and four assists, in 30 minutes. Alec Burks followed up with 18 points and four rebounds, while Bojan Bogdanovic totaled 14 points and three steals.

The Pistons (3-33) will look to bounce back as they play host to the Kings on Tuesday. The Nuggets (26-12) take on the Jazz in Utah on Wednesday.
