Heat Top Magic In Overtime
The Miami Heat defeated the Orlando Magic, 107-103, after overtime at Amway Center on Saturday.

The Heat (32-25) and the Magic (23-34) had to play five extra minutes to find a winner Saturday, but in the end, the Heat controlled the game better and executed more precisely when it mattered the most, and that was enough to give them the victory in front of their rival fans. The Magic looked good in the early going, though, as they jumped out to a 29-19 score in the first quarter, but the Heat never gave up and slowly showed signs of mounting a comeback. Miami won the second quarter by a 27-25 score and the third one by a 26-25 score, but they were still down by seven points with only 12 minutes left on the clock. Miami tightened things up, though, and the Heat outscored Orlando by a 25-18 score in the fourth quarter to force overtime. They kept the momentum in the final five minutes, and they managed to close things out even though Orlando still had a shot at forcing another OT with the last play of the game. With the win, the Heat moved to 13-16 on the road, while the Magic fell to 14-15 at home.

Tyler Herro was the leading scorer for the Heat with 23 points, while Jimmy Butler ended up with 22 points, seven rebounds, six assists, two steals and two blocks. Gabe Vincent ended up with 20 points, two rebounds and two assists, and Bam Adebayo finished with 13 points, 17 rebounds, six assists and two steals. Max Strus notched 12 points coming off the bench.

Markelle Fultz led the Magic in scoring with 17 points, four rebounds and three assists, while Wendell Carter posted 14 points, six rebounds and three assists. Paolo Banchero had a 16-point, 13-rebound double-double, and Franz Wagner posted 10 points with four boards and four assists. Jalen Suggs and Moritz Wagner each had 14 points coming off the bench.
