FanDuel NBA: Friday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Friday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Guards

Seth Curry, DAL vs MEM ($4,100) – The injury to J.J. Barea will make Curry a nightly consideration in DFS as well as a good add in season-long leagues. Barea leaves behind 33 minutes per game and with Deron Williams banged up, Curry will likely play as many minutes as he can. He has a great skillset for fantasy being able to contribute in multiple categories making him not completely dependent on scoring. He's going to be very chalky tonight considering the price so take advantage while you can.

Victor Oladipo, OKC vs BRK ($5,500) – Oladipo is coming off his best fantasy game of the season after scoring 29 points with 10 rebounds, five assists and two steals good for 49.5 fantasy points. That should help his confidence after some early season struggles and the matchup is very good against the Nets. Brooklyn is in the middle of a road trip and has given the second most fantasy points on FanDuel to opposing guards (42.8 per game).

Klay Thompson, GS at BOS ($5,700) – It's a bit odd to look at the shooting guards in this game and see Avery Bradley at $7,000 and Thompson at his current price. Klay has a pretty safe floor for fantasy points in the mid-20s (4X) for this game and the upside is to deliver 6X-8X. The Celtics haven't been as good defensively this season and the game sports the highest over/under of the night at 226.

Mike Muscala, ATL at CHA ($4,300) – Muscala has done a nice job of being the Hawks' sixth man this season, shooting almost 64 percent from the floor and grabbing almost five rebounds per game. This pick hinges on the availability of Dwight Howard who is battling a quad contusion. If Howard misses this game, it's almost automatic to use Muscala as one of the building blocks of your cash game, as he played 33 minutes Wednesday night in a 25.5 fantasy-point performance.

Marvin Williams, CHA vs ATL ($4,800) – Williams struggled a bit last time out finishing with 9.7 fantasy points but the three games before that are what's worth noting. He scored 26.2, 28.1 and 29.1 fantasy points in those three contests showing a better indication of what he's capable of. Williams should have plenty of motivation in this one too playing against the Hawks, his team for the first seven years of his career.

Terrence Jones, NO vs POR ($5,000) – This pick is only good if Anthony Davis sits out again as Jones would likely again get the start and be a bigger part of the offense. Wednesday night, with Davis sitting, Jones finished with 40.8 fantasy points after putting up 34.5 on Monday. With the Blazers travelling on the second night on a back-to-back and Al-Farouq Aminu injured, this is a great matchup for Jones.

Centers

Kelly Olynyk, BOS vs GS ($4,000) – Last game's 12.8 fantasy-point dud will hopefully have DFS players off Olynyk tonight despite the low price point. As stated earlier, this is expected to be a high-scoring affair. Olynyk has averaged over 30 minutes per game over his last four contests and his minutes should be secure given Al Horford's absence.

Pau Gasol, SA at LAL ($6,200) – Gasol has started to turn things around after a tough start with the Spurs. More of the offense has been flowing through him as of late and he now has games of 41.8, 27.6, 35.4 and 45.8 fantasy points over his last four. The key in those four contests is that Gasol is logging more minutes than earlier this season (at least 31 in each). This is an excellent matchup against the Lakers tonight, a team that just gave up over 50 fantasy points to Brook Lopez.
