This article is part of our DraftKings NBA series.
Monday brings only three games on the NBA schedule, but there is still the potential for some excellent individual performances as several bad defensive teams will take the floor. Let's examine the players you'll want to use for you DraftKings entry.
Guards
D'Angelo Russell, BKN at PHO ($8,200): When healthy, Russell has provided excellent production as he has scored at least 41.3 DraftKings points in five of his eight games this season. The Suns are allowing 116.5 points per game and Russell already torched them for 47.0 DraftKings points last Tuesday. Look for another big performance Monday.
Taurean Prince, ATL vs. BOS ($5,600): Prince has excelled on a rebuilding Atlanta squad and is averaging a robust 14.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.8 three-pointers per game. His three-point shooting has been particularly impressive of late as he is 12-for-28 from behind the arc over his last five games. He could provide significant value at this reasonable price against the Celtics.
Mike James, PHO vs. BKN ($5,300): James has stepped in as the starting point guard with Eric Bledsoe on the trade block and has scored at least 21.0 DraftKings points in each of his last four games. His best game of the season came last Tuesday against the Nets when he scored 44.8 DraftKings points. The Nets are a bad defensive team, so look for another productive game from James.
Forwards
Devin Booker, PHO vs. BKN ($8,400): Booker struggled Sunday against the San Antonio Spurs, scoring only nine points in 26 minutes. He was on fire heading into that game, scoring at least 32 points in three of his last four contests. This game against the Nets could be another high scoring affair, so look for Booker to get back on track and be a valuable option for your lineup.
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, BKN at PHO ($5,900): Hollis-Jefferson has been given a more significant role this season, averaging a career high 27 minutes through nine games. He has not disappointed as he is averaging 15.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.1 blocks per game. With at least 28.0 DraftKings points in four of his last five games, Hollis-Jefferson can provide value at this price again against the Suns.
DeMarre Carroll, BKN at PHO ($5,400): Carroll has thrived as a member of the Nets, providing a veteran presence on a young, rebuilding team. He enters Monday having scored at least 30.5 DraftKings points in six of his last seven games. After scoring 31.8 DraftKings points when these two teams met last week, Carroll could out produce his price point yet again Monday.
Centers
Hassan Whiteside, MIA at GS ($7,000): Whiteside missed time earlier this season with a knee injury and had played 26 minutes or fewer in two games since returning heading into Sunday's contest against the Los Angeles Clippers. He ended up playing 31 minutes in that game, scoring a whopping 53.8 DraftKings points. When playing his normal allotment of minutes, Whiteside is an elite DFS option. He has the potential to dominate a Warriors frontcourt that struggles on the glass.
John Collins, ATL vs. BOS ($5,000): Collins is only averaging 21 minutes per game as the Hawks ease him into his rookie season, but he's still averaging 10.7 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game. While averaging 25.5 DraftKings points this season, he has scored at least 35.0 DraftKings points in both of his last two games. He has nice upside at this price.
Dewayne Dedmon, ATL vs. BOS ($4,000): Dedmon doesn't have much upside as he has scored more than 30.0 DraftKings points only once this season. He still has value at this cheap price though as he has scored at least 20.3 DraftKings points in five of his last six games. If you need to save money at center, consider playing Dedmon.
