This article is part of our DraftKings NBA series.
Monday will be a very busy night in the NBA with nine games on the schedule. The San Antonio Spurs take on the Boston Celtics and the Golden State Warriors play against the Los Angeles Clippers, highlighting what should be an exciting evening. Let's add to the excitement by putting some money in your pocket playing DraftKings.
GUARDS
Ben Simmons, PHI at HOU ($9,200): Simmons has wasted no time establishing himself as one of the better all-around players in the NBA, as he is averaging 17.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 7.5 assists and 1.7 steals in 34 minutes per game. He has a very high floor as a result, evident by his lowest scoring DraftKings point total coming in at 33.8 points. Look for him to continue to produce in what could be a high scoring affair Monday.
Goran Dragic, MIA vs. MIN ($6,500): While he hasn't had any eye-popping stat lines this season, Dragic has been very consistent as he has scored at least 31.3 DraftKings points in four of five games. He gets a favorable matchup Monday against the Timberwolves as they have allowed 114.2 points per game so far. Dragic is one of the safer mid-tier priced options as a result.
T.J. McConnell, PHI at HOU ($4,400): McConnell doesn't get the credit that he deserves. He started more than half the Sixers' games last season and averaged 6.9 points, 3.1 rebounds, 6.6 assists and 1.7 steals in only 26 minutes per game. He didn't get much playing time to start this season, but he has played at least 28 minutes in each of the last two games and should continue to see increased minutes in Markelle Fultz's absence. He took full advantage of the opportunity as he scored at least 33.0 DraftKings points in both contests. At this price, it's worth taking the risk that he will see an increase in playing time again Monday.
FORWARDS
DeMarcus Cousins, NO vs. ORL ($11,600): Cousins is just insane. He is off to by far the best start of his career as he is averaging 32.3 points, 13.8 rebounds, 5.7 assists, 1.3 steals, 2.3 blocks and 2.5 three-pointers per game. That works out to an average of 66.3 DraftKings points per contest. The Magic don't have anyone who can slow him down, so get ready for more gaudy numbers.
Danilo Gallinari, LAC vs. GS ($5,900): Sometimes you have to go against the grain to have a shot at winning big. Gallinari might be just the player Monday. He's not off to a good start with his new team, averaging only 13.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.6 three-pointers per game. The reason you want to look his way in this contest is because this should be a high scoring contest, leaving him with added opportunities to produce.
Tim Hardaway Jr., NY vs. DEN ($4,900): Hardaway has been in a massive slump to start the season, but he broke out in a big way Sunday against the Cleveland Cavaliers as he scored 34 points to go along with four rebounds, eight assists, two steals and five three-pointers. He gets to face a Nuggets team that allowed 111 points to the Brooklyn Nets Sunday, so he has the potential to significantly out produce his price point.
CENTERS
Karl-Anthony Towns, MIN at MIA ($9,000): While the Timberwolves have had their struggles, Towns is still producing as he is averaging 46.4 DraftKings points per game. He has five double-doubles and has scored at least 27 points in three of his last four games. The Heat don't have anyone who can stop him with Hassan Whiteside (knee) unlikely to play in this game, so enjoy the ride.
Dwight Howard, CHA at MEM ($7,600): Howard is coming off of an excellent performance Sunday against the Magic, as he scored 22 points to go along with 10 rebounds, three assists and one block. The 10 rebounds were actually the fewest he has had in a game this season as he has been dominant on the glass. The move to Charlotte has done wonders for his value, so expect another double-double from him against the Grizzlies.
Ryan Anderson, HOU vs. PHI ($5,100): Anderson had a rough going on the boards last year, averaging only 4.6 rebounds per game. He's done a much better job this season as he is averaging 6.1 rebounds per contest, the most he has since the 2013-14 season. He enters Monday dialed in from behind the arc, shooting 17-for-35 on three-pointers over his last three games. If you want to save money at center, Anderson is a viable option against the Sixers.
