There are a couple high-end pitchers on Monday's small slate, but I'm not sure they're worth it. That's why I focused on a couple cheaper guys to allow for a balanced hitting lineup that doesn't have a hole.
PITCHER
Patrick Corbin, ARI at SF ($46): If salary were based only on matchup and recent performances, Corbin would be the most expensive pitcher. He's hit 23 fantasy points in his last four starts and faces a Giants team that hasn't shown much power since the All-Star break with a .096 ISO and .290 wOBA against southpaws.
Jon Lester, CHC vs. NYM ($43): Lester is a hot-and-cold pitcher and right now he's warm with 50 fantasy points over his last two outings. He only allowed two hits against the Mets in a June win and has great career numbers against the lineup (.226 AVG allowed). The Mets are stringing together wins, but it's mostly because of pitching as they have just a .305 wOBA against lefties since the break.

CATCHER
Matt Wieters, WAS at PHI ($12): Wieters has struggled to get going this season, but he's come around and has hit safely in nine of his last 10 starts. All of his power also comes against righties with 10 extra-base hits (4 HR) in 140 at-bats. Zach Eflin has fallen off in recent outings and gave up 10 hits (one to Wieters) and four runs to the Nationals last time out. His numbers against lefty bats aren't enticing with a .358 wOBA allowed.
FIRST BASE
Yuli Gurriel, HOU vs. OAK ($12): Gurriel doesn't have huge power, though getting on base is enough for a cheap play and that's what he does against lefty arms with a .342 BABIP. Brett Anderson has been excellent over the last month but pitches to contact and is still hard to trust after getting roasted by the Astros for 10 hits and seven runs earlier in the season.
SECOND BASE
Gleyber Torres, NYY vs. CWS ($11): Torres ignited his bat in the last week with 13 hits in the last 10 games, enhancing a .357 wOBA against southpaws. Carlos Rodon is another guy that's having success, but he's allowed five runs in his last two starts against the Twins and Tigers and has a 5.10 xFIP against righties.
THIRD BASE
Maikel Franco, PHI vs. WAS ($15): I don't often go against Stephen Strasburg, but he was blasted for seven hits and five runs by this Phillies lineup in his return from the DL last start. Franco homered in that game and could have more success against Strasburg due to his .220 ISO and .353 wOBA against righty arms.
SHORTSTOP
Tim Beckham, BAL vs. TOR ($13): Beckham's numbers for the season aren't great, but he's been more serviceable since the All-Star break with a .368 BABIP against righties, which is close to where he was in 2017 with a .176 ISO and .336 wOBA. Sam Gaviglio has gone seven innings in both of his starts against the Orioles this year, yet still allowed 13 hits and six runs. His .333 wOBA allowed to righty bats is also an issue.
OUTFIELD
David Peralta, ARI at SF ($25): Peralta may be one of the most expensive bats on the slate, but he has one of the better matchups. Chris Stratton looked better last start against the Mets, yet a 5.37 ERA and .363 wOBA allowed to lefty bets still leave a lot to be desired. As for Peralta, he's roasting righties with a .270 ISO and .412 wOBA from 44 extra-base hits (19 HR).
Carlos Gonzalez, COL at LAA ($19): The Rockies haven't hit righties well on the road, though it'll be hard not to use them against Odrisamer Despaigne. The righty hurler hasn't gone more than 4.1 innings in any of his three starts and had a .340 wOBA allowed to lefties in 2015 when he last pitched a significant amount in the majors. Given recent outings, it doesn't look like he's improved.
Randal Grichuk, TOR at BAL ($12): One of the only teams David Hess has had success against this year is the Blue Jays, but conveniently, Grichuk has two doubles against him in five at-bats. That goes along with Grichuk's .247 ISO against righty arms and Hess's .341 wOBA allowed to righty bats.
