MLB Picks for Blue Jays at Rockies

This Coors Field interleague clash carries the standard double-digit projected runs, with a 11.5 Total on the board at multiple sportsbooks. Toronto has a -2.5 run line and moneyline odds comfortably north of -200, so their favorite status is clearly entrenched.

The pitching matchup fittingly looks heavily tilted toward Toronto, with Jose Berrios facing off against volatile righty Anthony Molina. Molina checks in with a 7.27 ERA, 1.50 WHIP, .327 xBA, .597 xSLG and .382 xwOBA, so his struggles are legitimate despite the fact he's been pitching relatively well at Triple-A Albuquerque of late.

Molina has allowed a .400 average and .404 wOBA at Coors over a 17-batter sample, and Vladimir Guerrero, who has a .288 average, .833 OPS and .370 wOBA against righties on the road this season, shapes up as a good hitter to target. Guerrero has also been on fire since the All-Star break with a .343 average, 1.025 OPS and .439 wOBA.

Vlad Jr. has a .330 wOBA against righties with runners in scoring position this season and a .365 wOBA with RISP overall. He's averaging an RBI just under every two games this season and has gone three straight games without one. When Molina exits, he'll also face a Rockies bullpen that's pitched to a 5.69 ERA and .375 wOBA at home since July 1, allowing the third-most runs in baseball during that span (43).

Berrios certainly isn't above getting knocked around a bit himself in an environment like Coors, but Toronto's offense should pack enough punch to grab a victory here and Guerrero could certainly play a part in driving in at least one run.

Chicago White Sox at Seattle Mariners Best Bets

This Davis Martin-Bryan Woo matchup has a projected total of a modest 7.5 runs, underscoring the caliber of both starting pitchers. While the Mariners, who are 31-25 at home straight up, are a heavy -250-ish favorite, the White Sox can be an unpredictable bunch at times and cause some trouble as perennial underdogs.

Woo had some trouble last time out against the division-rival Athletics, allowing five earned runs via four homers overall. He's given up at least two earned runs in four straight starts. With a career-high 133 innings under his belt already this season, it's certainly possible he could be feeling just a twinge of fatigue at this point.

Woo is still highly likely to turn in a quality outing overall against a White Sox team that's averaging just 3.7 runs on 7.7 hits per road game. But the possibility of him giving up at least two earned runs for the 14th time in 22 starts isn't out of the range of outcomes by any means. It's worth noting that the eight occasions where Woo has given up one earned run or fired a shutout all came July 4 or earlier.

The White Sox haven't been totally punchless against right-handers on the road in the last few weeks, either, posting a .247 average and .326 OBP, along with a .316 wOBA. They're also drawing walks at a 9.7 percent clip while striking out at a tolerable 21.5 percent rate in that sample.  They enter the contest on a bit of a surge with a 4-2 mark in the last six games and at least five runs scored in four of those contests.

Seattle is 4-2 in its last six home games and Martin has a 1-6 record, 4.70 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 1.2 HR/9 on the road, so the prospect of a Mariners win but at least two runs for the White Sox against Woo, who has a 1.2 HR/9 at home himself, isn't out of the question.
