PITCHER
Mike Clevinger, CLE vs BAL ($9,000): With Chris Sale off of Sunday's docket, there aren't many options remaining. Clevinger is the most obvious option in position to win, while bringing a remarkably stable floor to the table as well. Baltimore boasts a mediocre .309 wOBA against righties, adding just a .93 wRC+. Maybe the O's less-than-top 23.7 percent strikeout rate keeps his upside in check, but Clevinger should appeal to GPP and cash managers alike for a 30-point floor.
GPP Fade: Anibal Sanchez ($8,100), ATL vs. COL: Sanchez faces a difficult matchup opposing a surging German Marquez, who has allowed eight runs in his last four starts while striking out 34. Yes, the Rockies are weak away from Coors, but Sanchez showed his normalcy in his last appearance by allowing four runs and seven hits in six frames. A year ago, Sanchez was a $5,500 pitcher; it's really as simple as that. At this price, he should be treated with kid gloves.
Cheap GPP Consideration: Jake Odorizzi, MIN vs. DET ($6,600): Odorizzi remains a huge wildcard due to his inconsistency, but is coming off of a nine-strikeout showing against Pittsburgh in just 5.2 innings. The Tigers don't miss much at just 22.2 percent of the time, but sport a mere .288 wOBA and 78 wRC+ against righties, the league's second-lowest total. On a slate without a clear ace, targeting an arm against a weak offense at a discount feels like the right path to success.
CATCHER/FIRST BASE
Elias Diaz, PIT vs. CHC ($2,600): There's never a shortage of options at first, but going cheap with Diaz may provide a great return on investment. He leads the team with a .420 wOBA and 167 wRC+ against southpaws, adding a .246 ISO. Cubs' starter Jose Quintana has allowed 17 runs over his last four starts – a span of 20.1 frames – where he's surrendered 22 hits.
SECOND BASE
Niko Goodrum, DET at MIN ($3,200): The price still fits for Goodrum, who is locked into a top-tier batting spot at a premium position for minimal cost. His .323 wOBA isn't great, but his current form is by finding a way to score over 20 fantasy points four times in his previous eight games entering Saturday. For as enticing as Jake Odorizzi may be, he is allowing a .359 wOBA to lefties at home.
THIRD BASE
Brian Anderson, MIA at WAS ($2,900): Anderson comes in ice cold, to the point where he has just one double-digit scoring outing this month. That makes him an ideal low-owned, tournament play Sunday against Gio Gonzalez, who's been equally as bad of late. Gonzalez has allowed 11 runs and 21 hits over his last three starts, a span of 14.2 innings. If it weren't for the Marlins offense, this would be a stackable matchup.
SHORTSTOP
Francisco Lindor, CLE vs. BAL ($4,400): You want an Indian bat in your lineup at a minimum, and Lindor checks in cheaper than Jose Ramirez ($5,200) and at a far more premium position than Michael Brantley ($4,200), while his current form also suggests he may be lower owned than usual. He's raking from the left side, where he's continuing to drive the ball to a tune of a .278 ISO, while adding a .373 wOBA entering a matchup against a vulnerable Yefry Ramirez.
OUTFIELD
Juan Soto, WAS vs. MIA ($4,200): There's no telling how Marlins starter Jose Urena will handle his first appearance back since his controversial beaning of Ronald Acuna earlier this week. What isn't disputable is that Soto has a .391 wOBA, 145 wRC+ and .221 ISO against righties. Factor in the .372 wOBA Urena allows on the road to lefties, and you've got a player well worth paying up for.
Aaron Hicks, NYY vs. TOR ($3,900): Hicks is so locked in, he's averaged 12.6 fantasy points in his last two games without a hit. He's one of many Bronx Bombers who enjoys facing lefties, sporting a .363 wOBA, 130 wRC+ and .295 ISO against, suggesting plenty of upside against inexperienced Ryan Borucki.
David Dahl, COL at ATL ($2,800): Colorado will go for the sweep in Atlanta Sunday, and Dahl has been right in the mix of that success by going 4-for-14 with a home run, three RBI and two runs scored. Dahl is finally being given a chance to swing regularly, and has responded with a team-leading .396 wOBA, 134 wRC+ and .258 ISO against righties.
UTILITY
Jose Martinez, STL vs. MIL ($3,100): Martinez sat out Saturday due to a hip ailment, so be sure to confirm he's in Sunday's lineup. Assuming he is, he's found a new home in the Cards' outfield that is allowing his bat to play. Martinez has hit safely in nine straight prior to Saturday, four times going for multiple knocks. He's second only to Matt Carpenter against normal righties with a .370 wOBA while adding a 134 wRC+.
