Arena Football DFS: ArenaBowl DraftKings Plays

DraftKings' Arena Football League (AFL) contests are back for Sunday's ArenaBowl 32. RotoWire will be providing lineup suggestions for each of the 13 weeks of the AFL regular season, the two weeks of the playoffs and the ArenaBowl.

DraftKings AFL lineups consist of one Captain spot, which sees the player's salary and fantasy points both multiply at a rate of 1.5x, and five Flex positions. The lack of positional specifications means that one could potentially compose a lineup consisting of players from just one position. However, for our purposes, we'll strive to highlight players from at least the top two fantasy-producing positions, quarterback and wide receiver.

Note: Please keep in mind that these are merely recommendations on certain players and are not intended to constitute a lineup that fits under DraftKings' $50,000 salary cap. In fact, the cumulative salary of the players suggested weekly will often check in well over that figure.

ArenaBowl- AFL Plays

Captain: Dan Raudabaugh, QB, PHL at ALB ($15,300):

Naturally, with only two quarterbacks on the slate, it's a prudent move to have one of them in the Captain's spot. It's a tough call between two prolific signal-callers in Raudabaugh and Tommy Grady, but I'll give the slight nod to the former, who brings plenty of ArenaBowl experience. Raudabaugh has two ArenaBowl championships under his belt and could well find himself in

Raudabaugh has two ArenaBowl championships under his belt and could well find himself in a trail position in the second half of Sunday's game, leading to the likelihood of plenty of aggressive play on the Soul's part. Raudabaugh has only averaged 4.3 fantasy points per game less than Grady this regular season and postseason, and the Empire did allow the second-most passing yards per game (245.0) during the 2019 campaign, furthering Raudabaugh's case as a potentially slightly under-owned Captain's spot candidate.

Flex: Tommy Grady, QB, ALB vs. PHL ($10,800):

Grady will naturally be an excellent fantasy candidate in his own right during what should be a back-and-forth battle. The prolific veteran generated a 12:2 TD:INT versus the Soul in the two regular-season meetings in which he played a full game against them, and he has been blistering hot in the playoffs. Grady has a 9:0 TD:INT in six quarters of postseason action thus far, and he figures to be airing it out until the final gun Sunday. With a Soul defense that he already proved capable of mastering on multiple occasions and a reasonable price relative to production, I see Grady as a near must-have on the one-game slate.

Flex: Malachi Jones, WR, ALB vs. PHL ($9,800):

Jones carries a questionable tag after not playing last week, but he'll be ready to go Sunday and prepared to validate his status as the 2019 Offensive Player of the Year. The second-year wideout had two enormous showings versus the Soul in the regular season, accumulating 36.7 and 49.1 fantasy points, respectively. He also generated five receptions for 74 yards and a touchdown in a half of play versus Philly in the regular-season finale and should be heavily featured in Sunday's contest. Getting Jones at anywhere less than five digits is always a bargain, considering he scored over 30 fantasy points in eight of 12 regular-season and postseason games.

Flex: Darius Prince, WR, PHL at ALB ($9,600):

Just as Jones is Grady's main go-to man, Prince serves in the same role for Raudabaugh. The veteran was at it again in last week's ArenaBowl-clinching victory over the Valor, generating 33.3 fantasy points on the strength of a 6-93-3 line. Prince averaged 33.2 fantasy points in the two regular-season meetings against the Empire during which he played a normal amount of snaps, and he's certainly capable of exploiting Albany's weaknesses against the pass that were alluded to earlier. It's also worth noting last week's 33.3 fantasy-point showing is actually his lowest in his last four games during which he's played a normal amount of snaps, as he scored 33.5, 34.1 and 35.4 in the three other contests during that span.

Flex: Quentin Sims, WR, ALB vs. PHL ($9,200):

The Empire has seen several receivers rise to the forefront alongside Malachi Jones at different points this season, but Sims is the only one who's managed to rival him in terms of production. Sims already has a five-touchdown effort this postseason and has scored over 50 fantasy points in three of his last six games. Grady has depended on Sims heavily even when Jones has been healthy, and the veteran should certainly have an extensive role in Sunday's contest.

Flex: BJ Bunn, WR, PHL at ALB ($7,000):

Aaron Wascha is back on injured reserve after returning last week, while Bunn is now off IR and should play in Sunday's contest in his stead. The rookie showed some solid rapport with Raudabaugh as the season unfolded, including in two games at the Empire. Bunn averaged 21.7 fantasy points over that pair of contests against Albany, and he logged at least five receptions in six of the last seven regular-season games he suited up for. While Prince could well top the team in targets Sunday, Bunn could certainly thrive in the complementary role he often succeeded in during the campaign.
