2025 Fantasy Outlook
Joelinton had a few fights with injury in the 2024/25 campaign, but he started 29 matches, 14 more than the prior campaign. His physical play leads to a lot of bumps and bruises, which often leads to an absence or two throughout the season. He's never had crazy attacking numbers despite coming to Newcastle as more of a forward, but as seen in his four goals and three assists last season, he's always around to find production from the left side. It seems doubtful he'll keep his fitness for an entire campaign with Champions League to worry about, but his versatility means he's a lock to start in most games when healthy, keeping his floor fairly solid.
Clinical finish in win
Joelinton scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal) and four chances created in Tuesday's 3-1 win against Burnley. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 28th minute.
ANALYSIS
Joelinton flicked the ball into the far corner of the net Tuesday to secure Newcastle's second goal in their 3-1 victory over Burnley. In additon to scoring his first league goal of the campaign, the midfielder led the team with four chances created across his 89 minutes of play and tracked back to make two tackles (one won), two interceptions and three clearances. Joelinton's yellow card was his fourth in Premier League play this season.

Nursing groin problem
Joelinton is nursing a groin problem he suffered against Leverkusen one week ago and will be fit only in an emergency situation, coach Eddie Howe said in a press conference, according to Keith Downie from Sky Sports.
