Dream11 Fantasy Soccer: Manchester United v. Liverpool Preview

This article is part of our Dream11 Fantasy Soccer series.

MATCH PREVIEW

Manchester United emerge from the October international break only two points out of the relegation zone, failing to win any of their last five matches in all competitions. Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be desperate to win this game to save his job, though he'll be battling a Liverpool side that's won all eight Premier League matches this season, and they haven't lost a league game since January. Additionally, the Reds are just two wins away from tying Manchester City's record of 18 consecutive wins.

The Red Devils will be without David de Gea (thigh), Eric Bailly (knee), and Paul Pogba (toe), while Diogo Dalot (undisclosed), Timothy Fosu-Mensah (knee), Phil Jones (knock), Jesse Lingard (hamstring), Anthony Martial (thigh), Luke Shaw (hamstring), and Aaron Wan-Bissaka (illness) are doubtful. As for Liverpool, Nathaniel Clyne (knee) is the lone absentee, with Mohamed Salah (ankle), Joel Matip (knock), Xherdan Shaqiri (calf), and Paul Glatzel (knee) doubtful.

PREDICTED XI

Manchester United: Sergio Romero (GK), Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Ashley Young, Scott McTominay, Nemanja Matic, Andreas Pereira, Juan Mata, Daniel James, Marcus Rashford

Liverpool: Alisson Becker (GK), Andrew Robertson, Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Georginio Wijnaldum, Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino

COMBINED XI

PLAYERS RECOMMENDATIONS

Defender: Trent Alexander-Arnold (9 credits): With a goal and two assists already this season, the right-back has been exceptional for the Reds

PLAYERS RECOMMENDATIONS

Defender: Trent Alexander-Arnold (9 credits): With a goal and two assists already this season, the right-back has been exceptional for the Reds both offensively and defensively. Averaging 3.5 key passes per game, Alexander-Arnold has another good chance of getting back on the score sheet.

Midfielder: Mohamed Salah (10.5 credits): Salah has been the main man for the side, with four goals and three assists, and the absence of de Gea will only raise his goal expectations.

Forward: Marcus Rashford (9.5 credits): Rashford comes in with three goals nad two assists in eight games this season, and it doesn't hurt that he's scored two goals against Liverpool at Old Trafford during his short career.

Captain: Mohamed Salah

Vice-Captain: Marcus Rashford
