Tournament Preview

Golfers share the spotlight this week with a stunning location in Crans Montana, Switzerland. Crans-sur-Sierre GC is arguably the most visually appealing course on tour. Omega European Masters will once again feature a loaded field with plenty of tradition and is one of my personal favorites to watch. The undulating course is not long but demands precision given its small greens and many hazards. Accuracy off the tee and with approach shots will also be paramount this week.

DraftKings Picks

Tommy Fleetwood $11,300 (11/1)

At the top, Fleetwood is hard to pass up. He is ranked first on tour in greens in regulation and sixth in driving accuracy. This season has been very kind to him, as he hasn't had a missed cut since the start of June. Tommy has taken the last couple weeks off and should enter the tournament refreshed and focused to contend. He's had mixed results here, finishing T5 in 2014, T9 in 2013 and a missed cut in 2015. Last year he shot 65 on Friday, but ultimately finished T49.

Lee Westwood $9,700 (25/1)

Westwood was solo fourth last year at Omega European Masters. He won this event in 1999 and has played well almost every time he has competed here. Lee finished T9 at D+D REAL Czech Masters last week, which is also encouraging. He is ranked 79th in driving accuracy and 86th in greens in regulation on tour, and I believe his strong course history will serve him well this week.

Lee Slattery $8,100 (70/1)

Lee has been extremely hot lately. His last three finishes have been second, T19 and T9. He is hitting over 70 percent greens in regulation and is ranked 54th on tour in driving accuracy. Slattery has missed the cut the last two years at Omega European Masters, but was T9 in 2014 and T14 in 2012. Playing the hot hand at this price is quite tempting.

James Morrison $7,100 (90/1)

Morrison comes in to Crans-sur-Sierre with momentum from his T5 last week at D+D REAL Czech Masters, and his game is definitely trending in the right direction after three missed cuts mid-summer. His driving accuracy can be a bit spotty at times (59.7 percent), but he's had success on this course, finishing T18 here last year and T25 in 2014. James is ranked 37th on tour in putts per round.
