Tournament Preview

Stunning Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club in Switzerland is the host venue this week for European Masters. This is the 72nd time the tournament has been contested at Crans-sur-Sierre, which means plenty of course history. The tree-lined mountain course is very undulating, with small greens that have run-offs in spots. Water hazards are present on six holes on the back nine. Accuracy will be at a premium this week, with irons and off the tee. All players get a 10 percent bump in distance this week due to altitude.

DRAFTINGS PICKS

Lucas Bjerregaard - $9,800 (25/1)

Lucas at $9,800 seems like a good place to start. He has a significant price break compared to the other top choices, but still comes with a lot of upside. He enters the tournament on a hot streak with a solo sixth last week in Denmark and a T9 the week prior at Czech Masters. He has the type of game to contend at Crans-sur-Sierre and showed that last year with a T9. He is 19th on tour in greens in regulation and 48th in SG: off the tee.

Ryan Fox - $9,600 (25/1)

Fox is another solid option in the upper range without breaking the bank. He has eight consecutive made cuts and has finished as high as solo second this season. He also had a nice showing at the European Masters last year, finishing T9. He is ranked 14th on tour in greens in regulation and 11th in SG: off the tee.

Richard Sterne - $8,200 (60/1)

Sterne has made seven consecutive cuts entering European Masters. He was T17 last week at Made in Denmark. He ranks 23rd on tour in greens in regulation and 87th in SG: off the tee. He can make some puts as well, he is 72nd in SG: putting. Richard has had some success at Crans-sur-Sierre, finishing T9 last year and T13 in 2013.

Marcus Kinhult - $7,400 (100/1)

Kinhult is an appealing option at the bottom tier. He has made three straight cuts and has two top-5s this season. He is familiar with Crans-sur-Sierre where he finished T10 as an amateur in 2015. Marcus is ranked 94th in greens in regulation and 21st in SG: putting on tour.
