Tournament Preview
This week the European Tour heads to Lahinch GC for the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open. This is the first time this tournament will be contested at Lahinch, a true links course on the Atlantic coast. The course is extremely undulating with natural dunes throughout, with the wind being its greatest defense. A loaded field is in Ireland to participate in this Rolex Series event and begin a links warmup for the British Open in a couple weeks. Without any course history to draw from, good recent form and strong links play in the past, will help guide picks this week.

DraftKings Picks (with odds)
Jon Rahm - $11,800 (8/1)
It is hard to bet against the odds on the favorite. Rahm arrives in Ireland in good form, with a T2 last week at Andalucia masters and a T3 before that at the U.S. Open. He is a past champion and consistently plays well on links courses. Rahm will be highly owned in DFS contests, but he is definitely good chalk.
Eddie Pepperell - $8,600 (40/1)
Pepperell hasn't competed since the missed cut at the PGA Championship. His season prior to that had been going along nicely, with a T2 at British Masters and T16 at RBC Heritage. A back injury is listed as what kept him sidelined at the U.S. Open, so there is an additional risk to consider. Since Pepperell is at Lahinch GC ready to compete, I assuming he is feeling good. He is a links specialist with a spot on short game.
Andy Sullivan - $7,700 (70/1)
This appears to be a great spot for Sullivan this week. He has been trending in the right direction for many weeks now. He has only one missed cut in his last eight events and finished T13 last week at Andalucia Masters. Sullivan is another golfer that can handle link conditions well, including the wind. He is ranked 37th on tour in SG: approach and 30th in putts per GIR.
David Horsey - $6,700 (200/1)
My bottom price tier pick is another Englishman who comes to Lahinch in decent form. Horsey has made eight straight cuts. His last two finishes being T26, which at this price is ideal. He has a good short game and is ranked 30th in scrambling. He's had multiple high finishes on links courses during his career and should be one of the safer plays down this far on the board.
