Tournament Preview
The European Tour heads to Scotland this week for a unique event. The Alfred Dunhill Links Championship is a celebrity Pro-Am event contested on three classic golf courses. All golfers will play the three courses the first three days and then the cut will be made. Golfers that make the cut will play St. Andrews once more, for the final round. All of the courses are links style and the wind is the primary defense. Strong links play, tournament history and recent form will help guide the picks this week. Accuracy with irons, around the green play, and solid putting will be the focused stats.

DraftKings Picks
Shane Lowry - $10,000 (16/1)
The top tier has many great links players; I am going with the champion golfer of the year. Lowry has continued his good form since the Open Championship. He finished T11 last week at BMW PGA Championship. He is obviously fantastic on link courses and has finished T25 or better five times in this event. His highest finish was T3 in 2013. I will take the savings with him compared to the other top choices and move on.
Bernd Wiesberger - $9,400 (25/1)
This year has been a resurgence for Wiesberger, coming back from injury. He has two wins and a T2 this season. One of the wins came at the Scottish Open and the T2 came at the Irish Open, both of which are links courses. Wiesberger has had good results at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, finishing T7 in 2016 and T4 in 2015.
Christiaan Bezuidenhout - $8,000 (66/1)
Bezuidenhout is having a breakout season with a win at Andalucia Masters and four other T4s or better. One of those came last week at BMW PGA Championship where he was solo third. He's made the cut to play the final day three of the four times he has been at Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. His highest finish was T33 in 2015, he has become a more accomplished golfer since. He is one of the best this season around the green and putting.
Joakim Lagergren - $7,300 (100/1)
Outside of last year's missed cut, Lagergren has some great finishes at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. He was T12 in 2017, solo fourth in 2016 and T4 in 2015. He does arrive with some good form, making four cuts in his last five events. Lagergren finished T24 last week and was T7 the week before that at KLM Open. He is very appealing at $7,300, at this event. Lagergren is ranked 30th on tour in SG: approach.
