Omarion Hampton

Ashton Jeanty tends to hog the headlines, but if Jeanty were in any other draft there might have been more spotlight to properly appreciate Hampton as a prospect. Hampton is either blue-chip or close to it in his own right, making him a strong first-round candidate in the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft. At 6-feet, 221 pounds Hampton logged excellent athletic testing at the combine, running a 4.46-second 40-yard dash with strong jumps (38-inch vertical, 130-inch broad jump) to finalize a completely solid prospect profile. Hampton runs with both speed and power, granting him unique big-play upside in addition to an excellent volume grade. Hampton averaged over 23 carries and three catches per game in 2024, and more than 20 touches from scrimmage in 2023, boasting elite efficiency in both samples. If Hampton lands in the best-case scenario as a draft prospect then he could become one of the NFL's top fantasy backs immediately, even in 2025. It's not often that a running back prospect boasts both plus explosiveness and plus usage volume that Hampton does, and when they do they sometimes have a way of going in the first round of fantasy drafts the next season.
