Inks deal with Arizona
The Cardinals signed Baccellia to a reserve/future contract Monday, Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The 28-year-old spent his 2024 campaign with the Cardinals' practice squad after failing to make the team's active roster in late August. Baccellia most recently appeared in a regular-season game with the Cardinals in 2023, tallying 22 kick-return yards while playing 64 total snaps (46 offensive and 18 on special teams). He's expected to compete for a depth role in Arizona's wide-receiver corps throughout the offseason.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
Since going undrafted in 2020, Baccellia has spent time with three different teams, but he didn't make his pro debut until last season as a member of the Cardinals. In eight games, he hauled in seven of 10 passes for 45 yards on 112 offensive snaps. Arizona has a clear-cut top five at wide receiver with Marquise Brown, Rondale Moore, Greg Dortch, rookie third-rounder Michael Wilson and Zach Pascal, but Baccellia may be next up if injuries hit the group.

Plans to sign in New England
The Patriots are expected to sign Baccellia, pending a COVID-19 test and physical, Doug Kyed of NESN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The Chiefs cut Baccellia on Aug. 19, so the undrafted free agent will go from the New Boss to the Old Boss of the AFC. The Patriots cut Will Hastings on Friday, so bringing Baccellia in for a chance to make the team makes sense. The wide receiver is a long shot, though, as he wasn't very productive in his senior collegiate season with 29 receptions for 214 yards and two touchdowns.
