Bond, who'd predicted he'd break Xavier Worthy's NFL Combine record of a 4.21-second 40-yard dash, was officially clocked at 4.39 when he ran Saturday, Jeff Legwold of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Bond, who played his first two college seasons at Alabama before transferring to Texas for the 2024 campaign, had predicted to reporters Friday that he'd best his fellow former Longhorn's record time, which was set in the 2024 NFL Combine. While he fell notably short of the mark, Bond's time won't do anything to hurt his draft stock, considering he reportedly ran a 4.23 while in training for Saturday's testing and also was clocked faster than 22 mph in a game against UTSA this past season.
