Rest-of-Season Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Slayton is back for another season as the deep threat in Brian Daboll's offense, following a 2024 campaign in which 31 percent of his targets and yardage occurred during the two games Malik Nabers missed. Never a target hog, Slayton otherwise flew under the radar even more so than usual last year, averaging 1.5 catches for 27.2 yards on 3.4 targets in 10 games after Nabers returned from concussion protocol. The 28-year-old has four seasons of more than 700 receiving yards but none with 800, and he hasn't scored more than four TDs in a year since netting eight as a rookie back in 2019. There's not much of a ceiling to be had, especially in PPR formats, but Slayton doesn't face much competition for a top-three role and may benefit from playing with QBs Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston rather than Daniel Jones. A return to his 2022-23 level of production thus appears possible, after slumping to 573 yards and two TDs last year. Read Past Outlooks

Leading receiver in Week 4 win
Slayton caught three of four targets for 44 yards in Sunday's 21-18 win over the Chargers.
ANALYSIS
While the volume and production were modest, Slayton wound up leading the Giants in receptions and receiving yards in Jaxson Dart's first career start at QB, as Malik Nabers (knee) was knocked out of the game in the second quarter. Nabers' injury is feared to be a torn ACL which would end his season, a development that would make Slayton the team's top downfield option, albeit in arguably the weakest wide receiver group in the league. The veteran WR will take a 9-135-0 line on 13 targets into a Week 5 contest against the Saints.

Slayton's five years with the Giants have yielded four seasons in the range of 46-50 catches, 724-770 receiving yards and 15.0-15.7 yards per catch. That includes 2023, when he was stuck in an offense with terrible blocking and three different starting quarterbacks. Slayton led the team in receiving for a second straight year (and fourth time overall), with the final four weeks accounting for 41.7 percent of his yardage and three of his four TDs. Despite the strong finish, it may be difficult for the 2019 fifth-round pick to match his past success after the Giants selected WR Malik Nabers sixth overall in the 2024 Draft. While Slayton is still likely to have a starting job, there's a good chance Nabers almost instantly becomes the best WR and strongest target-earner Slayton has ever shared a field with.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Likely headed for bigger role
Slayton projects as one of the likeliest beneficiaries of any prolonged absence on the part of Malik Nabers, who appeared to suffer a torn ACL in the Giants' Week 4 win over the Chargers, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Slayton was already operating as New York's No. 3 receiver and complementary deep threat to Nabers, and he's posted a 9-135-0 line on 12 targets through four games. Final word on Nabers' injury should arrive via MRI on Monday, and if the star wideout is indeed sidelined for the remainder of the season, Slayton would presumably step into a starting role. In his postgame press conference, head coach Brian Daboll specifically cited Slayton's eight-catch, 122-yard, one-touchdown effort in a Week 5 road win over the Seahawks last season when emphasizing the need for other receivers to step up if Nabers is out.
