Week 2: NFL Best Betting Props

The 2025 National Football League regular season started off with a bang in the opening weekend, and now we're on to Week 2. We're getting a good idea about depth charts, touch totals, snap counts and, unfortunately, injuries. All of those things play a role into volume, leading to better calls on prop plays.

We'll take a look at the best prop players for Sunday and Monday in Week 2, as we look to get into the black heading into the second part of September. Let's get started!

New England Patriots at Miami Dolphins Prop Plays

*Best lines at time of writing listed

The Patriots and Dolphins meet at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla., and there is a very interesting prop you need to take advantage of.

In the Week 1 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, QB Drake Maye threw for 287 yards on 30-of-46 passing, and he hooked up with WR Kayshon Boutte six times for 103 yards. Boutte and TE Hunter Henry were each targeted a team-high eight times.

Boutte's biggest competition is slot receiver WR Stefon Diggs. However, Boutte looks like the big downfield option for Maye, and it's crazy that his Over/Under receiving yardage total is so low for Week 2.

The Dolphins allowed 262 passing yards and 8.7 yards per pass last week in a 33-8 loss at Indianapolis, and the defense could be very giving again. Boutte is particularly attractive with such a low target yardage total. Take advantage.

Best Prop Pick: Patriots WR Kayshon Boutte Over 37.5 Receiving Yards (-155 at BetMGM)

Jacksonville Jaguars at Cincinnati Bengals Prop Plays

The Jaguars head north to tangle with the Bengals in an AFC cat fight.

In Week 1, Cincinnati newcomer TE Noah Fant managed a receiving touchdown against the Cleveland Browns in a 17-16 victory, while hauling in a team-best four receptions for 26 yards. He was targeted five times, tying WR Ja'Marr Chase for most on the team.

While that sounds promising for another big week, remember, this team still has TEs Mike Gesicki and Drew Sample. The sportsbooks aren't expecting Fant to duplicate those numbers, and neither are we. In fact, it wouldn't be surprising to see Fant blanked.

Best Prop Pick: Bengals TE Noah Fant Under 21.5 Receiving Yards (-110 at BetMGM)

Cleveland Browns at Baltimore Ravens Prop Plays

The Browns hit the road to battle the Ravens for their second consecutive AFC North Division game to start the season.

Cleveland did a good job throwing a blanket on Bengals QB Joe Burrow last weekend, limiting him to just 113 passing yards. The Bengals were also able to manage just 46 rushing yards, and 2.0 yards per attempt. They also did a good job limiting RB Chase Brown and the Bengals on the ground, it will have its hands full with Ravens RB Derrick Henry, and, in particular, dual-threat QB Lamar Jackson.

Jackson had a solid game in Buffalo in Week 1, passing for 209 yards and two touchdowns, while running six times for 70 yards and a score. No. 8 should be able to shake free for at least 44 rushing yards against the Browns.

Best Prop Pick: Ravens QB Lamar Jackson Over 43.5 Rushing Yards (-115 at BetMGM)

Carolina Panthers at Arizona Cardinals Prop Plays

We hit on Arizona Cardinals RB Trey Benson last weekend in New Orleans, as he cracked off one long rush to hit his total on a single play.

In the offseason, RB James Conner indicated that he and Benson would be a dynamic duo in the backfield, and Benson logged eight carries for 69 yards in the opener. Will he average 8.6 yards per carry? Of course not. That isn't sustainable. However, he averaging 4.6 rushing yards per carry in 2024, and if he gets eight carries again in Week 2, that puts him at 37 rushing yards if he is simply average. That's above his projection of 33.5 rushing yards.

The Carolina Panthers were the worst rushing defense in the NFL in 2024, and they certainly didn't look much better in Jacksonville in Week 1, as RB Travis Etienne Jr. gouged them for 143 rushing yards on 16 attempts, including a 71-yard scamper.

Benson should easily get to 40 yards. We'll keep rolling with him until the sportsbooks make the proper adjustments.
