Fantasy football managers often overreact to recent results, creating opportunities to buy low or sell high. Smart trades now can reshape your roster heading into the playoff push. Whether it's a slow stretch, a misleading breakout, or a player due for regression, this is the week to strike. Before making your next move, check out RotoWire's weekly fantasy football projections and consult the NFL team depth charts to confirm player roles and workloads. These tools can help you navigate your fantasy football buy-low, sell-high opportunities more confidently.

Buy Candidates

Quarterback

Justin Herbert

Going into his Week 12 bye, Herbert is coming off a pair of forgettable outings against Pittsburgh and Jacksonville. Although the Chargers won't magically fix their offensive line problems, the team has endured multiple cross-country trips over the last seven weeks, making their flat performance in Jacksonville understandable. The bye week should allow Los Angeles to design a quicker passing game that compensates for protection issues. With a strong group of pass catchers and six games of 30+ rushing yards already, Herbert remains a high-upside target to acquire at a discount.

Running Back

Saquon Barkley

Fantasy managers don't need reminders of Barkley's disappointing season, as he has posted 10 or fewer PPR points in three of his last five games. He also has just one outing above 18 PPR points all year, and the temporary loss of RT Lane Johnson is far from ideal. Still, this is a prime buy opportunity based on schedule alone. Philadelphia faces several favorable run defenses over the next month, and if your team is playoff-bound, Barkley's matchups against Washington and Buffalo offer elite upside during the fantasy postseason.

Wide Receiver

Jakobi Meyers

Many fantasy managers shrugged when Meyers was dealt to Jacksonville at the trade deadline, but his fit is more important than his name value. Trevor Lawrence thrives when attacking the middle of the field, an area where Jacksonville previously struggled with drops and inconsistency. Meyers brings reliability and toughness, and after fully integrating into the offense, he led the team with five catches and 64 yards last week. With an appealing schedule outside of a tough Week 16 matchup against Denver, he makes for a cheap, high-floor PPR addition.

Tight End

Oronde Gadsden

Gadsden was one of the best waiver finds of the season between Weeks 6–9, but a minor injury in Week 10 has contributed to two quiet performances. The Week 12 bye comes at the perfect time, giving him a chance to return to full strength. The Chargers can't depend on their struggling run game, meaning short-area passing will be a major focus moving forward. With his role cemented in that part of the offense, Gadsden should be peppered with targets again once healthy, making this a short-term buy window.

Sell Candidates

Quarterback

Jaxson Dart

Dart has scored at least 21 fantasy points in all seven of his starts for the Giants, including 29+ points in three of his last four games. His rushing production has been the key, with at least 54 yards on the ground in five outings and rushing touchdowns in all but one. However, he has now been evaluated for a concussion in four different games, and reports suggest the team plans to scale back designed runs. If those rushing attempts disappear, so does most of Dart's fantasy value, making this an ideal time to sell high to a desperate manager.

Running Back

Bijan Robinson

Robinson erupted for 30 PPR points last week, but that performance masks an earlier stretch where he averaged just 12 across three games. The Falcons losing their quarterback for the season, and potentially playing without Drake London (knee), will allow defenses to stack the box at will. With Kirk Cousins under center, opponents are likely to overload the running lanes and dare Atlanta to beat them through the air. Robinson is elite, but even he can only do so much under those conditions, making this a strategic sell opportunity if you can command a strong return.

Wide Receiver

Rome Odunze

Odunze's breakout season has been impressive, but his weekly fantasy output has been inconsistent. He has surpassed 18 PPR points only three times, with two of those performances coming in the last month. However, in four of his last six contests, he has scored 6.1 PPR points or fewer, largely due to Chicago's willingness to lean on the run when able. Odunze still carries substantial name appeal, so this is the right time to test the market and see if someone will overpay for perceived upside.

Tight End

Dallas Goedert

Goedert has been strong this season, but his production has dipped over the last four weeks, with three games resulting in single-digit PPR totals. Some managers may still view him as a top-tier option based on season-long stats rather than recent performances. The Eagles also need to get their wide receivers and Saquon Barkley rolling as they prepare for the playoffs, which may further reduce Goedert's target share. Considering his durability concerns historically, this is a sensible time to explore trade options.

Conclusion

With the fantasy playoffs fast approaching, managers need to make aggressive but smart moves. Identifying undervalued players and cashing in on inflated names can make all the difference. Staying ahead of the buy/sell fantasy football curve is the key to dominating the rest of the season.
