FanDuel Sportsbook: NFL Week 9 Tickets

This article is part of our NFL Picks series.

The Week 8 Tickets were a whole bunch of sad, as none of our four same-game parlays came through. The Bengals surprisingly beat the Titans 31-20 to ruin anything having to do with Derrick Henry and Joe Burrow, while the Packers also ruined anything we tried to do with Jamaal Williams and Davante Adams. We got a little greedy on our Boston Scott bet, as he successfully went over 57.5 rushing yards in the Eagles' win over the Cowboys, but he failed to get in the end zone despite Philly scoring 23 points. And finally, Jimmy Garoppolo's horrific play and subsequent injury gashed our 49ers stack, especially with George Kittle also going down.

Looking to bounce back in Week 9, we'll continue to use some of the resources available at RotoWire to try and help us target favorable situations.

Allen Robinson over 71.5 receiving yards and Titans -5.5 (+229)

The Titans -5.5 was picked by four of our five guys in Staff Picks this week, and while the line has moved to Titans -6.5, we can still get an alternate spread to get it back to -5.5 (-130). Meanwhile, we have Allen Robinson projected for 77.76 receiving yards, and he gets an upgrade in this week's Corner Report. With the Bears expected to throw while trying to keep up with the Titans, Robinson could be heavily targeted and reach over 71.5 for the sixth time in nine games.

Brandin Cooks over 57.5 receiving yards and Texans win (+175)

The Texans are 6.5-point favorites on the road against the Jaguars, who will be without starting quarterback Gardner Minshew, though we shouldn't ignore that only one of our five guys in Staff Picks took the Texans -7.0. Playing for the win instead of the cover builds in some safety, while Cooks also gets an upgrade in the Corner Report, partially because Will Fuller might be shadowed by CJ Henderson. That actually isn't that bad for Fuller, but it might give us some more confidence that quarterback Deshaun Watson might look more toward Cooks, who has had at least 60 receiving yards in four of seven games this season, including eight catches for 161 yards in Week 5 against the Jaguars. There is also some fantasy optimism this week for running back David Johnson, with the expectation that he will get plenty of opportunities if the Texans go up and try to run out the clock, and adding him to go over 69.5 rushing yards moves the odds to +355.

Tyler Lockett over 78.5 receiving yards, Stefon Diggs over 77.5 receiving yards and John Brown over 37.5 receiving yards (+588)

Let's get a little nuts in the game that's expected to have two offensive explosions, as the Seahawks have allowed the most receiving yards to wide receivers this season while the Bills continue to massively struggle with guys in the slot. Only one player is projected for more receiving yards than Lockett this week, while Diggs is projected for the seventh-most, both comfortably over their props. And while John Brown isn't a huge volume receiver anyway, the 37.5 looks attainable against the struggling Seattle secondary. Oh, and it certainly doesn't hurt that all three are upgrades in the Corner Report this week, and the game has the highest total in Week 9 at 54.5.

Justin Herbert over 266.5 passing yards, Keenan Allen over 79.5 receiving yards, Mike Williams over 45.5 receiving yards and Chargers -1.5 (+808)

Even though our last bet was +588, let's get really nuts with the Chargers, who were a unanimous bet in Staff Picks this week. Allen and Williams are both upgrades in the Corner Report, and they both project above their prop lines. Meanwhile, Herbert doesn't quite reach his prop in terms of projections, but it's still well within reach, especially if Allen and Williams crush theirs. I also don't want to ignore that Herbert has thrown for more than 275 yards in five of six games, with his lowest at 264. Obviously this is a high risk move, but at least they correlate well with each other.
