FanDuel Fantasy Football: Week 11 Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel Fantasy Football series.

Quarterback

Blake Bortles, JAC at DET ($7,200) – At first glance this may look like an error but it's for real. Despite the Jaguars looking terrible for most of the season, Mr. Garbage Time has been a valuable fantasy commodity lately. Over his last three games he's scored 18.7, 22.48 and 29.68 fantasy points including at least two touchdowns in each game. The matchup against the Lions coming off the Bye is surprisingly good as — aside from the Atlanta Falcons — they have given up the most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks this season. As the 15th highest priced signal caller this week, Bortles should have no issue providing value in this matchup.

Russell Wilson, SEA vs PHI ($7,400) – Wilson's price continues to be depressed after some less than stellar games earlier this season. Those duds can probably be attributed to his foot/ankle injury that appears to have healed nicely given his results over the last couple of weeks. He's scored 26.52 and 26.28 fantasy points in his last two games and will have home field advantage this weekend. Philadelphia is capable of making this a competitive game which should keep Wilson throwing in the fourth quarter to the likes of Doug Baldwin and Jimmy Graham.

Running Back

C.J. Prosise, SEA vs PHI ($4,900) – With the lack of fantasy production over the course of the season, it's not surprising to see the price stay low here despite Prosise's performance last Sunday night. Prosise

Running Back

C.J. Prosise, SEA vs PHI ($4,900) – With the lack of fantasy production over the course of the season, it's not surprising to see the price stay low here despite Prosise's performance last Sunday night. Prosise showed he was capable of handling a full workload, both running the ball and catching passes out of the backfield. He totaled 153 yards from scrimmage while catching seven passes, finishing with 18.8 fantasy points. While Thomas Rawls should be back in the mix this week, it's likely Seattle will ease him back into the lineup and give the majority of the work to Prosise.

James Starks, GB at WAS ($5,500) – The Packers made a savvy move picking up Christine Michael on Wednesday, who could help contribute down the stretch to their backfield. It's unlikely Michael will have much, if any, impact this weekend in Washington on Sunday night, however. It appears that Starks has taken over the lion's share of carries in the Packers' backfield from Ty Montgomery and should get the majority of the touches. Starks had 11 touches including a catch for a touchdown last Sunday, finishing with 11.9 fantasy points which is a number he should be able to meet or surpass this week. The Redskins continue to rank towards the bottom of the league against opposing running backs and are giving up the fifth most fantasy points to the position out of all the teams in action this weekend.

Wide Receiver

Eddie Royal, CHI at NYG ($5,200) – It's hard not to expect one of Cameron Meredith ($5,600) or Zack Miller ($5,500) to provide significant value this weekend. Alshon Jeffery is going to miss the next four games, though, so all of his targets will have to be distributed elsewhere. That's where Royal comes in, as most will turn to Meredith since Royal only had two catches for 24 yards last week. However, in the three games prior to his injury, Royal had 18 targets, over 200 receiving yards and a touchdown. Cutler's rapport with Royal goes all the way back to their Denver days so it wouldn't be a surprise to see them connect often Sunday.

Donte Moncrief, IND vs TEN ($6,500) – It's never a bad idea to have a player or two from the game Vegas deems to have the highest over/under total, which is the case here. Moncrief comes in at a modest price for a player expected to be Andrew Luck's second receiving option, and he's scored in each of his two games since returning and should be 100 percent with the Colts coming off the Bye. Tennessee has had no problem scoring recently, suggesting that this matchup should feature plenty of offense. The Titans have given up the most receiving yards to opposing wide receivers out of any team playing this weekend (1,820), too, so look for Moncrief to benefit.

Tight End

Martellus Bennett, NE at SF ($5,200) – Bennett looks to be the chalky play that you won't want to risk fading in cash games this week. It doesn't look like Rob Gronkowski (chest) will play in this game, elevating Bennett to the top of the Pats' depth chart at tight end. Bennett is coming off a great game (seven catches for 107 yards) and is a cheap way to get a piece of the New England offense in a great matchup. It's also worth noting that the 49ers have given up 19 touchdowns passes, the third worst mark in the league.

Kicker

Adam Vinatieri, IND vs TEN ($5,000) – This isn't a value play by any means, but this week it appears to make sense to pay up a bit for the veteran, who comes in $500 above the minimum. Vinatieri hasn't missed on the season (19/19) and plays for a Colts team favored in the game that has the highest over/under total of the week. The game is indoors, too, so weather won't be a factor.

Defense

Miami Dolphins at LAR ($4,800) – Here's another example of paying up, this time for a defense that's $800 more than the minimum. Miami's defense has come on strong the last two games with six sacks, six interceptions and a defensive touchdown in each game. They'll get the Rams and Jared Goff, making his first professional start of the regular season. It speaks volumes about what the Rams think of Goff considering they've waited this long to play him over a struggling Case Keenum, but his inexperience certainly plays into the hands of the Dolphins, which further justifies spending a little extra.
