PICKS TO CLICK
Shavon Shields Over 18.5 Points+Rebounds+Assists (-125 bet365)
It will be a matchup for all those who fill backcourt and wing spots for Milan. I had a tough time picking one player, but I'm going with the guy who has the safest minutes floor, and that would be Shields -- who also happens to be a high-usage player. His multi-position versatility gives him the ability to grab some boards, facilitate some offense and get his own buckets. In these faster-paced games is when he's really able to rack up the peripherals, and I think we're getting a slight discount due to his quiet night the last time out.
Tyson Ward 7+ Points (-116 DraftKings)
Olympiacos has dealt with injuries all season, and that's no different Wednesday, as five players -- find out who on RotoWire's EuroLeague Injury Report -- will wind up unavailable. The absences give Ward a floor of around 18-to-25 minutes, which has been more than enough for him to deliver. He is not shy to put up and shots and generally gets around eight of them when things are going right, and considering how good the looks usually are on a team with a lot of options, we just need him to get hot early.
Glynn Watson Under 3.5 Assists (-110 FanDuel)
We mentioned last week that ASVEL was getting healthier and could hit some unders, and that's exactly what we did with Watson's points. Now the points line has lowered, and although it's still nearly in play I like the assist number more. With Nando de Colo and Thomas Heurtel active, Watson will work more off the ball while the veterans control the tempo and offense. When you add in the fact that no one in this backcourt will play more than about 24 minutes, just about all of Watson's five or six chances to pick up an assist will need to be converted by his teammates, and I like the odds of avoiding that.
Jordan Loyd Over 14.5 Points+Assists (-115 bet365)
As with Milan, it was tricky picking the top option in the Efes backcourt, which will once be down its primary piece in Shane Larkin. Loyd will almost always be the shot-rate leader while Larkin is out, and he only needs to be somewhat efficient. I tacked on the assists not because he is much of a facilitator but more so for the security, but I do believe he can cover this in points alone if he makes at least half his shots from the field.
