DraftKings LoL LCS: Thursday Cheat Sheet
I'm back at it again with Week Six of the EULCS. Today's marquee match-ups are Vitality vs. H2k and Fnatic vs. G2. I'm liking G2 to beat Fnatic and provide good fantasy results, but I think the winner of H2k/VIT (leaning towards H2k) won't provide big fantasy impact. As such, today's lineups will feature a lot of G2 and UoL players for me. That said you'll need to find some value and balance from other teams to fit as many UoL and G2 players in as possible. That should come in the form of members of ROCCAT, who despite finding themselves as the underdogs against Spylce, could allow you to to pay up for UoL and G2. It likely wouldn't be beneficial to use a handful of ROCCATS, but using Airwaks (cheap) or Betsy (cheap and safer) do provide some nice flexibility in your lineup decisions.
Daily Player Recommendations:
Top Lane:
Vizicsacsi (UoL vs. GIA, $7,400): UoL should stomp GIANTS! resulting in an easy win and big fantasy points. Vizicsacsi has proven this season that he can carry games in the top lane and his upside is pretty big today. I'm using Csacsi or Kikis in my lineups today and not looking to pivot elsewhere.
Other Suggestions: Kikis (G2 vs. FNC, $6,500)
Top Lane Player to Avoid:
sOAZ (OG vs. EL, $7,200): sOaz has not been providing the type of fantasy impact you'd want at this price. Origen should win this game, but they play through Zven this season, not sOAZ. Like I said above, I'm on Vizicsacsi or Kikis today and no one else.
Jungle:
Trick (G2 vs. FNC, $6,100): Considering he's at a depressed price, I think he's a great play. I'd expect G2 to beat Fnatic and not have too many problems doing so. Rudy could end up with more points, but I'm not sure he'll put up enough points to justify the high price tag.
Other Suggestions: Rudy (UoL vs. GIA, $7,200), Airwaks (ROC vs. SPY, $5,500)
Jungle Player to Avoid:
Trashy (SPY vs. ROC, $6,400): Splyce are priced as the favorites and I can see why most people would think they should win this game. At the same time no member of Splyce has shown that they can provide any fantasy upside besides Sencux. That makes me want to stay away from Trashy and the rest of the team, and for a price higher than proven players like Trick and Jankos, you should stay away too.
Middle Lane:
Perkz (G2 vs. FNC, $7,200): Mid lane basically comes down to Fox or Perkz for me. Perkz is the cheaper option and although his matchup is tougher than Fox's he should still provide good value. You'll have to build around Fox for more upside if you pay up for him, but Perkz could match his fantasy points at a cheaper salary. Betsy is the cheap flier if you pay up in other roles.
Other Suggestions: Fox (UoL vs. GIA, $8,300), Betsy (ROC vs. SPY, $6,600)
Mid Laner to Avoid:
Ryu (H2k vs. VIT, $7,500): First game back on the LCS stage is a tough one for Ryu as H2k will take on Vitality. My guess is H2k will win the game but I think fantasy upside will be limited on both sides. Combine that with a moderately high salary and I'm not using Ryu in daily.
ADC:
Emperor (G2 vs. FNC, $7,300): I think Steelback and Zven could provide more upside in easier match-ups but Ryu is the cheap option I like in the AD carry role today. He's played well all split and provided good fantasy numbers in G2 wins. He may not be looked at as the main carry, but he's had his moments this year alongside Perkz.
Other Suggestions: Steeelback (UoL vs. GIA, $8,300), Zven (OG vs. EL, $8,000)
ADC Player to Avoid:
Kobbe (SPY vs. ROC, $7,600): Like I said about Trashy, no one on Splyce has proven they can carry a game yet except Sencux and while they're favored I'm not really keen to use any of their members. Kobbe is the third highest ADC but is only averaging 17.1 PPG. Not worth it in my opinion.
Support:
Hybrid (G2 vs. FNC, $5,400): Best cheap support option of the day. All three recommendations could and probably should get to 10 assists in their games, but Hybrid is the one with the best salary attached.
Other Suggestions: Hylissang (UoL vs. GIA, $6,200), Mithy (OG vs. EL, $6,000)
Support Player to Avoid:
Vander (H2k vs. VIT, $5,500): I don't mind his salary but I could see this game being very slow and objective focused with a low kill total. I think it's risky to assume that he'll get to 10 assists today.
Team:
G2 vs. FNC ($4,900): G2 should win this game as they've shown to be the better team thus far this split. Combine that with the cheap salary and G2 certainly becomes my favorite play for the team role. They should have no problem picking up points from objectives and even have a shot at the sub thirty minute win bonus.
