DraftKings League of Legends: LCS Sunday Cheat Sheet

DraftKings League of Legends: LCS Sunday Cheat Sheet

This article is part of our DraftKings League of Legends series.

Another day, another heavily favored Immortals game.

It shouldn't come as a surprise, but once again all Immortals members are safe plays Sunday. CLG have the next best matchup on the slate, with TSM/NRG, C9/DIG, and TL/TIP all looking like toss-ups. I'm leaning towards TSM, C9, and TL, but these games will all be competitive, and the results should be close.

Daily Player Recommendations

Top Lane

Hauntzer (TSM vs. NRG, $6,200): Hauntzer is more assist driven, but that could be enough Sunday, and his salary leaves room to pay up elsewhere. Against an NRG team that likes to fight and skirmish he should pick up plenty of assists and some kills, just like Lourlo did Saturday.

Other Suggestions: Huni (IMT vs. FOX, $7,300), Seraph (TIP vs. DIG, $5,900)

Top Lane Player to Avoid

Balls (C9 vs. DIG, $6,600): Balls is the third most expensive top laner Sunday, but even in wins he does not often make a huge fantasy impact. Sunday's matchup could go either way for C9, so with the threat of a loss, he is not worth his salary.

Jungle

Dardoch (TL vs. TIP, $5,800): Team Liquid have been playing better, and a big reason has been Dardoch's synergy with Lourlo to set up kills for his top laner. Dardoch looks like a suitable replacement for IWDominate, and although this game may not bring as much fantasy scoring as TL's game against NRG on Saturday, Dardoch is a good bet to outproduce his low price.

Other Suggestions: Reignover (IMT vs. FOX $6,600), Svenskeren (TSM vs. NRG, $5,600)

Jungle Player to Avoid

Rush (C9 vs. DIG, $6,000): It hasn't been the split we expected for Rush so far this year, as he has looked like a shadow of his former self. He is still a serviceable jungler and has been solid for C9 in games, but it isn't showing up in his fantasy output.

Middle Lane

Bjergsen (TSM vs. NRG, $7,200): TSM looks like the favorite in this game, which could be very beneficial in terms of fantasy production given NRG's proclivity to fight. Bjergsen has performed very well again this year and has adjusted to having a second carry on his teams. Look for him to be a big part of a TSM win Sunday.

Other Suggestions: Huhi (CLG vs. REN, $7,900), Fenix (TL vs. TIP, $7,200)

Mid Laner to Avoid

Jensen (C9 vs. TSM, $7,500): A C9 player has been listed in every 'Avoid' section in this column up to this point. It's nothing against the team; it's just how its members are priced. Every player so far has been among the top-three highest salaries in his role, and it's just too risky to use them in this matchup. It will be a close game against DIG, and like his teammates above, Jensen hasn't proven to be a strong fantasy option yet.

ADC

Wildturtle (IMT vs. FOX, $8,900): I loved him Saturday, and love him again at the same price in another easy game for Immortals. Wildturtle has been the main carry on a team of stars and should come in at the top of the ADC fantasy charts again Sunday.

Other Suggestions: Doublelift (TSM vs. NRG, $7,600), Piglet (TL vs. TIP, $7,700)

ADC Player to Avoid

Stixxay (CLG vs. REN, $8,400): This one also comes down to price, as I expect CLG to win this game. Stixxay will most likely have a solid game in the process, but he is the second most expensive ADC, and I prefer the upsides of Doublelift and Piglet at lower prices.

Support

Kiwikid (DIG vs. C9, $4,900): Kiwikid is my favorite cheap support on the day. Saturday aside, it has been a good split for the Dignitas support, and I could see DIG winning this game against Cloud 9 today. Kiwikid provides the best upside for the supports under $5,000 on Sunday's slate.

Other Suggestions: Matt (TL vs. TIP, $5,600), Yellowstar (TSM vs. NRG, $5,500)

Support Player to Avoid

Adrian (IMT vs. REN, $6,700): Same story as Saturday -- it's almost certain Adrian will be a top-three support Sunday, but I don't like paying up in this role. If I want to use an Immortals player I'm using a carry over their support. If you construct your roster with bargains elsewhere feel free to pay up for Adrian.

Team

Team SoloMid vs. NRG ($4,200): TSM are a good mid range pick if you don't want to pay up for Immortals. They are near the top of the NA LCS in Baron and Dragon kills, Turret Kills, and sub-30-minute games, which is where points for your team come from. Beyond SoloMid, Immortals are the sure bet, and Dignitas are the best cheap option for Sunday.
