DraftKings LoL LCS: Friday Cheat Sheet:
There are three pretty clear favorites heading into Friday's matches: Fnatic, H2k and G2. All three teams are priced pretty heavily today, making it hard to fill your lineup with players exclusively from these teams. Unicorns of Love present the best upside value plays against Vitality, but this game may not produce huge fantasy output overall. Elements are favored to beat GIANTS! but if you can see a GIANTS! upset coming, then xPepii and crew would greatly outproduce their salaries. I personally think using Elements' players heavily is risky based on their salaries today.
Daily Player Recommendations:
Top Lane:
Odoamne (H2k vs. OG, $6,800): The steady presence for H2k, Odo rarely has a bad game. I like him against Origen and although sOAZ played better yesterday I'm still not that worried. Odoamne provides good value as a split pusher or a front line tank capable of picking up 10+ assists and a few kills.
Other Suggestions: Kikis (G2 vs. ROC, $7,400), Vizicsacsi (UoL vs. VIT, $6,200)
Top Lane Player to Avoid:
Steve (EL vs. GIA, $7,000): To be honest I don't have a huge problem with using Steve, but without picking a top laner from one of the bottom four teams today, he's the one I would not want to use. Steve has been solid for Elements but I wouldn't be shocked if GIANTS! somehow won this game either, making him a risky selection.
Jungle:
Jankos (H2k vs. OG, $6,600): Jankos presents good value today. He might not score as highly as Trick or Spirit but he should still provide plenty of points for a lesser price. H2k have shown more objective focus against good teams this season, but Origen have been sloppy and it could lead to more kills than usual for Jankos and company.
Other Suggestions: Trick (G2 vs. ROC, $7,200), Spirit (FNC vs. SPY, $7,100)
Jungle Player to Avoid:
Rudy (UoL vs. VIT, $5,900): Rudy has played well against lesser competition but his weaknesses come out against good teams. He had a terrible game against H2k earlier in the year and although Vitality aren't quite on that level, they could expose some of Rudy's issues. He is cheap and if UoL win he could have decent upside, but a game with multiple deaths isn't out of the realm of possibility either.
Middle Lane:
Perkz (G2 vs. ROC, $8,300): You have to pay up for him and his teammates today but I think he'll be worth it. Perkz and Febiven are in the best match ups today for mid laners and they should each be worth their high salaries. Perkz is the main carry for G2 and he should have a chance at a big stat line today.
Other Suggestions: Fox (UoL vs. VIT, $6,900), Febiven (FNC vs. SPY, $8,200)
Mid Laner to Avoid:
Eika (EL vs. GIA, $7,700): Kind of like Steve, it all comes down to the fact that I just don't trust Elements to produce enough points to be worth their salaries. Eika especially hasn't had the type of performance that makes me want to use him at this salary so while I don't mind someone using Steve, I definitely can't recommend Eika. I know GIANTS! have been bad, but it's not as if Elements are setting the world on fire.
ADC:
Emperor (G2 vs. ROC, $8,300): You've got to pay big bucks for him on a day when there isn't a ton of value, but like Perkz I expect him to be worth it. G2 will win this game easily and we should see a gaudy stat line from either Emperor or Perkz. While picking the one to truly go off is essentially a coin-toss, I'm thinking both players have the chance to live up to their price tag.
Other Suggestions: MrRalleZ (EL vs. GIA, $7,800), Rekkles (FNC vs. SPY, $8,200)
ADC Player to Avoid:
Zven (OG vs. H2k, $6,600): I'd love to recommend him at this price as he's still a top ADC, but I can't bring myself to do it today. I'm as big a Zven fan as anyone, but even at this price I don't know if he can provide enough fantasy points to be worth it. Origen have been sloppy and although Zven has been the best option on the team, I don't think he'll have too strong of a showing today.
Support:
Hylissang (UoL vs. VIT, $5,000): Hylissang is a pretty safe bet to get 10+ assists on most days and I love using him when he's this cheap. I'm not 100 percent positive he'll get to the bonus assist total today in a game that might not produce a ton of kills. That said I still think for his cheap price he's worth the gamble.
Other Suggestions: Sprattel (EL vs. GIA, $5,800), Hybrid (G2 vs. ROC, $6,200)
Support Player to Avoid:
Vander (H2k vs. OG, $5,600): Kind of like yesterday, I'm just not sure he'll get to 10+ assists. For that price I'd rather take a shot on Hylissang who is significantly cheaper. Vander is a good player, on a good team that should win today. That said I don't have a huge problem if you want to use him, I'm just not sure he'll net you the bonus assist points.
Team:
UoL vs. Vitality ($4,500): I've said it quite a few times in the past but I love using UoL in these close games when they're priced cheap. I can see them winning against Vitality in what should be a coin-flip game. Even in a loss they're a pretty safe bet in the team spot as they usually pick up enough objectives to provide a decent amount of points.
