DraftKings LoL LCS: Friday Cheat Sheet
Today is a bit of a tough day on DraftKing's as there isn't a lot of good value like there was yesterday, with a lot of close matchups keeping pricing relatively similar across the board. The value teams Friday appear to be Splyce, Elements, ROCCAT and GIANTS! but how confident are you that any of those teams will put up fantasy points? H2k and Origen should be the heaviest favorites of the day while UoL vs. G2 is a coin flip. Remember that Diamondprox, Ryu, and Edward are all out again today.
Daily Player Recommendations:
Top Lane:
Vizicsacsi (UoL vs. G2, $5,900): The two players in the "other suggestions" category are probably a bit safer, but Vizicsacsi has a higher upside in this close game. Kikis has primarily played tanks and is dead last in CS in the top lane. Csacsi has the potential to be a carry top laner, is near the top of the league in PPG on DraftKing's and kills from the top lane, and gives you a nice spot to save some cash today on a day where there isn't a ton of value to be had.
Other Suggestions: Cabochard (VIT vs. GIA, $7,200), Odoamne (H2k vs. ROC, $7,000)
Top Lane Player to Avoid:
sOAZ (OG vs. EL, $7,000): Thus far it's been a rather disappointing split for sOAZ. He's near the top of the league in assists from the top lane, but leads the league in deaths and has the second lowest CS among all top laners. Even if OG wins he's struggled and for his high salary I'd look to avoid him today.
Jungle:
Trick (G2 vs. UoL, $5,700): I used him yesterday, as his value was just too good to pass up, and I like him again today. He's been the most reliable jungler thus far and his aggressive style translates well to fantasy production. This should be a close game, but I still feel that Trick provides solid upside even if G2 doesn't win.
Other Suggestions: Shook (VIT vs. GIA, $6,500), Jankos (H2k vs. ROC, $6,400)
Jungle Player to Avoid:
Spirit (FNC vs. SPY, $6,500): Fnatic is struggling a bit to find consistency at the moment and although you'd probably expect them to win today, their fantasy upside remains limited. I didn't like the way Spirit played yesterday and I'd rather use Shook as a safer play for the same price or go with Jankos or Trick for cheaper.
Middle Lane:
Sencux (SPY vs. FNC, $6,000): I think mid lane is the hardest position to choose today with big names like Febiven, PowerofEvil and Nukeduck becoming a bit unreliable, making mid lane another potential savings area. Sencux showed how well he can carry when he gets ahead, yesterday, and although this is a risky pick it could pay off in GPP's. If you think Splyce can upset Fnatic then take a shot on Sencux, if not go with a safer option.
Other Suggestions: Perkz (UoL vs. G2, $7,200), Selfie (H2k vs. ROC, $7,900)
Mid Laner to Avoid:
Nukeduck (VIT vs. GIA, $8,100): He's the highest priced mid laner on the day and he's yet to really produce a stellar fantasy outing. Vitality should win this game and the potential is there for Nukeduck to have a big game, but he's only averaging 13.4 PPG and that's not enough to recoup value from a $8,100 salary.
ADC:
FORG1VEN (H2k vs. ROC, $8,400): What makes FORG1VEN successful is his ability to dominate his lane opponents and build a CS lead to carry into the mid game. He's in a perfect situation to do that today against Safir, who has struggled so far this season. Look for FORG1VEN to carry H2k to an easy win today.
Other Suggestions: Zven (OG vs. EL, $8,400)
ADC Player to Avoid:
Rekkles (FNC vs. SPY, $8,600): This one comes down to salary as Fnatic could win this game and Rekkles would likely be a huge part of the victory if they do. But how big of a role will he play? He's struggled to really carry a game so far this season and he's priced at the top of the ADC role today, making me want to avoid him. I don't think he'll score enough points to justify his salary.
Support:
Hylissang (UoL vs. G2, $5,200): Hylissang is the best cheap option of the day, even in what will likely be a close game. He played very well yesterday and is currently second in the league in assists. Mithy should have a decent game against Elements as well, but Hylissang's price certainly opens the door for some higher priced options to fill out your lineup, making him an excellent selection today.
Other Suggestions: Mithy (OG vs. EL, $6,300), Hybrid (G2 vs. UoL, $5,600)
Support Player to Avoid:
sprattel (EL vs. OG, $4,500): Sprattel leads the league in assists, but his best performances have been on Alistar thus far. My guess is the champion will be banned or first picked away from him for the rest of the split and he'll need to prove he can be impactful on another champion before we can trust him moving forward. That coupled with a tough matchup make him an easy avoid today.
Team:
Vitality vs. GIANTS! Gaming ($5,100): Vitality is the sure bet to win today and are priced accordingly. The way I set up my roster I had enough money leftover to pay up for a team and with no real good cheap options today I decided to do it. If you want to go cheap look at G2 or UoL as the winner of that game will provide the best value.
