G2 Esports (3-1) vs. mousesports (1-3)

The first match of the day is a Road to Rio EU clash between G2 Esports and mousesports in a must-win match for mouz as they look to climb from their current 1-3 record. G2 have been in fine form all tournament, with their only loss coming to the side atop the group in FaZe Clan. mouz, on the other hand, have struggled to get going with stars ropz and frozen both struggling and woxic unable to perform to his usual level. G2 have been one of the most in-form teams in the world with new additions nexa and huNter- providing a star turn for the international lineup, as well as a return to brilliance for kennyS. This match, and the value, rests squarely on the shoulders of the stars involved, with both ropz and frozen being key figures if mousesports want a chance.

  • G2 Players to Target: nexa ($11,400 Captain, $7,600 Flex), kennyS ($11,400 Captain, $7,600 Flex)
  • mouz Players to Target: ropz ($12,000 Captain, $8,000 Flex)

Copenhagen Flames (2-2) vs. Movistar Riders (2-2)

The next match in the early block is between two middle-of-the-table teams in Group B, featuring the Danes of Copenhagen Flames and the Spaniards of Movistar Riders, with both teams claiming notable wins in ESL Road to Rio. Copenhagen Flames have taken down North and c0ntact, while losing to G2 and GODSENT, while MR fell to G2 and FaZe, with victories over c0ntact and mousesports. Both teams will want to claw their way up what is a very congested table as they look to qualify for the playoffs. Depth will be the key in this matchup as mopoz, loWel and refrezh will look to help their teams in what promises to be a tightly-contested match. The value in this match comes towards the bottom of the board, with players like HooXI having the ability to put their mark on a match, even from a supporting role.

  • CPHF Players to Target: refrezh ($11,100 Captain, $7,400 Flex), HooXi ($8,400 Captain, $5,600 Flex)
  • MR Players to Target: mopoz ($10,500 Captain, $7,000 Flex), loWel ($9,900 Captain, $6,600 Flex)

FURIA (4-0) vs. MiBR (3-1)

The first match of the later block is a Brazilian derby between potentially the most in-form team in North America in FURIA, and the old guard of MiBR. FURIA have been in flying form, dropping only two maps total as they have surged to a 4-0 record, and a solid position in the group for the playoffs. Fueled by superstar levels from yuurih and KSCERATO, FURIA have been dominant in the group, including a 2-0 sweep of Team Liquid. MiBR have had similar success, though they have left numerous question marks on the table in both Flashpoint 1 and ESL Road to Rio. Particularly, the veteran Brazilians' 2-0 loss to Team Liquid, who have been struggling, including a shock loss to Envy. This match will come down to the superstar firepower of FURIA, with MiBR looking for a vintage performance to keep up in the Brazilian derby.

  • FUR Players to Target: KSCERATO ($12,600 Captain, $8,400 Flex), yuurih ($10,800 Captain, $7,200 Flex)
  • MiBR Players to Target: FalleN ($12,900 Captain, $8,600 Flex), fer ($11,100 Captain, $7,400 Flex)

Yeah (0-4) vs. Team Liquid (2-2)

The second match of the North American block features what could be the most one-sided of the day, as North America's no. 1 Team Liquid square-off against a spirited Yeah side, who will look to avoid an 0-5 showing in ESL Road to Rio. While this match looks one-sided on paper, Team Liquid have struggled for form and come into the final match needing a win, while the pressure on Yeah is about getting heir first victory of the group. The value should come from the stars of Team Liquid, who will be looking to have a rebound performance as they face off against the Brazilian minnows. If Yeah can pull of an incredible upset, iDk or RCF could be excellent, though that looks unlikely with Team Liquid in a win-or-go home situation.

  • Yeah Players to Target: RCF ($7,200 Captain, $4,800 Flex)
  • TL Players to Target: EliGE ($15,000 Captain, $10,000 Flex), NAF ($14,400 Captain, $9,600 Flex)

Bad News Bears (1-3) vs. Envy (2-2)

The final match of the day is another important one, as Envy look to secure qualification with a win over Bad News Bears, who will look to finish with a respectable 2-3 record and avoid finishing at the bottom of the table. Due to multiple slip-ups from Team Liquid, Envy find themselves in uncertain territory with a surprising ability to progress from the group stage, sitting at 2-2 after sweeping Team Liquid 2-0. The key for Envy will be Calyx, who has been immense over the last three months as he goes head to head with dapr, who has been leading Bad News Bears. With the playoff race tight at 2-3, BNB will need huge performances from ptr and jonji, who have been struggling for form, to secure the upset victory and keep their playoff dreams alive.

  • Bear Players to Target: dapr ($13,800 Captain, $9,200 Flex)
  • nV Players to Target: Calyx ($12,300 Captain, $8,200 Flex), Nifty ($10,500 Captain, $7,000 Flex)
