Chinatrust Brothers (1-1) at Uni Lions (1-1)
Sunday, July 26th, 6:35 AM EDT
Projected Starters
RHP Esmil Rogers (1-2, 7.17 ERA) vs RHP Gulin Rui-Yang (2-0, 3.60 ERA)
Game Preview
The Brothers won the first half of the 2020 CPBL season and have gone 1-1 this season, same record as the Lions. The Uni Lions are a puzzling team, because their offense was excellent, but their pitching needed some work. If they add a few quality arms, then it wouldn't be out of the question to see them competing for a potential playoff berth in the second half of the campaign. Speaking of pitching, neither of the two pitchers has a clear advantage over the other; Gulin has better numbers, but Rogers has better support. In fact, Rogers might be the better alternative simply because the Brothers have a stronger offense compared to the Lions. Either way, this will be a matchup where both offenses will dictate what the outcome will be.

Top Picks
Chou Szu-Chi, Brothers: Chou went 2-for-5 with three RBI in his previous game, and he continues to be one of the most valuable bats for the Brothers day in and day out. Given his production (eight homers, 37 RBI, .333 average) and relatively low cost (10.5 credits), he should a lock in most lineups almost on a daily basis.
Lin An-Ko, Lions: Lin is one of the premier sluggers in the CPBL this season, and he has the stats to show for it – he has 20 homers, 61 RBI and a .675 slugging percentage in 279 plate appearances during the 2020 CPBL season.
Chang Chih-Hao, Brothers: Chang has not played in any of the Brothers first two games, but he should be a solid pickup in case he is able to return ahead of this matchup. He has 15 home runs with 56 RBI and in impressive .346 batting average in 57 games this season.
Hsu Chi-Hung, Brothers: Hsu has 11 home runs and 38 RBI this season, while posting a strong .305/.377/.567 slash line. He should be a valuable pick-up for most managers.
