Celtics Dominate Game 2, Get Past 76ers
The Boston Celtics defeated the Philadelphia 76ers, 121-87, at TD Garden in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals on Wednesday. The series is now even at 1-1.

The Celtics needed to bounce back following a woeful performance in Game 1, and despite the fact the 76ers had Joel Embiid back in the lineup, Boston did exactly that. The Celtics dominated the contest from start to finish and limited Philadelphia to its worst performance in the current playoff run. The Celtics quickly jumped to a 28-22 score in the first quarter and never looked back, bolstering their lead to eight points after a 29-27 score in the second quarter. Aided by an eight-point lead at halftime, the Celtics pulled away for good in the third quarter and never looked back. Boston outscored Philadelphia by a 35-16 score and was up by 27 points. The Celtics also won the final 12 minutes by a 29-22 score and closed things out. The series is now tied at 1-1, and the next two games will be played at Wells Fargo Center.

Jaylen Brown led the way for the Celtics with 25 points, four assists, three rebounds and two steals. Malcolm Brogdon impressed off the bench with 23 points and six boards. Marcus Smart and Derrick White each had 15 points. Smart also added five rebounds. Jayson Tatum only played 19 minutes and had seven points.

Tobias Harris led the way for the Sixers with 16 points and seven rebounds. Joel Embiid played 27 minutes in his return to action and finished with 15 points, three rebounds and five blocks. Tyrese Maxey recorded 13 points while adding three rebounds and three assists. James Harden delivered 12 points, 10 rebounds and four assists.
