Personal Bio/PreCareer Summary

Butler was born on December 4th, 2002, in Greenville, South Carolina. He attended Christ Church Episcopal High School where he was coached by his father. As a senior, he averaged 20.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and three blocks and was named as the 2021 Class 2A Boys Player of the Year. Butler finished off his high school career winning the 2021 2A State Championship. It was the first basketball state championship title in school history. He ended up choosing Florida State where he would make an immediate impact as a freshman (2021-22) averaging 5.9 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.2 blocks. Butler led the Seminoles in both 3-point field goals made and blocked shots. After his freshman season concluded, Butler decided to forego his remaining college eligibility and enter the draft on June 1, 2022. He went unselected in the 2022 NBA Draft.

The Bucks signed Butler to an Exhibit 10 deal Thursday, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Butler was a G League standout during the 2024-25 season. Milwaukee's roster is already full, so Butler is expected to be waived so he can join the Wisconsin Herd in the G League.
