Warriors Defeat Trail Blazers, 126-106
The Golden State Warriors defeated the visiting Portland Trail Blazers, 126-106, at Chase Center on Saturday.

While there were nine lead changes through the opening 20 minutes, Golden State rode a 34-16 second quarter to their victory. They never relinquished the lead in the second half, maintaining a double-digit lead for the entirety of the fourth quarter. The Warriors shot 58 percent from the field and 83 percent from the free-throw line while holding the Trail Blazers to 45 percent from the field and 68 percent from the charity stripe. Golden State out-assisted Portland, 38-26, while outscoring them in the paint, 62-42.

The Trail Blazers (7-21) were led by Anfernee Simons, accruing 25 points, two rebounds and two assists. Jerami Grant generated 17 points, two rebounds and three assists. Malcolm Brogdon tallied 17 points, six rebounds, 12 assists and three steals, while Deandre Ayton amassed 13 points, six rebounds, two assists and three steals.

The Warriors (15-14) were led by Klay Thompson, totaling 28 points and three rebounds on 11-of-16 shooting. Stephen Curry collected 27 points, three rebounds and two assists. Brandin Podziemski provided 15 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists, while Jonathan Kuminga compiled 11 points, six rebounds and five assists. Kevon Looney had six points, 11 rebounds and seven assists, while Chris Paul led the bench with two points. three rebounds, 11 assists and three steals.

Golden State will return to action on Christmas Day, traveling to face the Denver Nuggets. As for Portland, they return to action on Tuesday in a home matchup with the Sacramento Kings.
