Lakers Defeat Wizards in OT, 134-131
The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the visiting Washington Wizards in OT. 134-131, at Crypto.com Arena on Thursday.

There were 11 ties and 14 lead changes in this game, taking an extra session to determine a winner. In fact, neither team ever grabbed a double-digit lead, with Los Angeles finishing the overtime on a 6-0 run over the final 3:50. Washington missed their final five shots while committing two turnovers in that scoreless stretch. The Lakers starters dominated, outscoring the Wizards starters, 113-70. Los Angeles also outscored Washington in the paint, 82-62, while winning the turnover battle, 15-10.

The Wizards (9-50) were led by Jordan Poole, providing 34 points, three rebounds and seven assists off of the bench. Marvin Bagley led the starters with 23 points, four rebounds and two blocks on 11-of-14 shooting. Kyle Kuzma collected 20 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and three blocks, while Deni Avdija amassed 15 points, 15 rebounds and five assists. Corey Kispert had 20 points, six rebounds and six assists off the bench as well.

The Lakers (34-27) were led by Anthony Davis, finishing with 40 points, 15 rebounds, four assists and three blocks. LeBron James had 31 points, four rebounds and nine assists. D'Angelo Russell registered 22 points, six rebounds and five assists, while Austin Reaves registered 12 points, six rebounds and four assists.

On deck for LA is a home matchup with the Denver Nuggets on Saturday. As for Washington, they stay on the road to play the other Los Angeles team on Friday.
