Grizzlies Defeat Lakers, 127-113
The Memphis Grizzlies defeated the host Los Angeles Lakers, 127-113, at Crypto.com Arena on Friday.

There were 12 ties and 17 lead changes in this game, but Memphis rode a 33-19 fourth quarter to this blowout win. They actually never led by more than five points until the closing minutes, finishing the game on a 24-10 run. Memphis shot 54 percent from the field and 51 percent from three-point range (23-of-45) while holding Los Angeles to 49 percent from the field and 36 percent from long range (10-of-28). The Grizzlies also out-assisted the Lakers, 33-26, while out-rebounding them, 49-44.

The Grizzlies (12-23) were led by Jaren Jackson Jr, generating 31 points, nine rebounds and three blocks on 11-of-14 shooting. Marcus Smart amassed 29 points, two rebounds and five assists. Ja Morant collected 21 points, seven rebounds and seven assists, while Desmond Bane tallied 24 points, five rebounds and 13 assists.

The Lakers (17-19) were led by LeBron James, finishing with 32 points, five rebounds, seven assists and five steals. Anthony Davis accrued 31 points, six rebounds, four assists and two blocks. Austin Reaves registered 19 points, seven rebounds, 12 assists and two steals, while Christian Wood led the bench with 11 points and five boards.

Both teams return to action on Sunday, with Los Angeles remaining home to play the Los Angeles Clippers and Memphis staying on the road to face the Phoenix Suns.
