Suns Defeat T'Wolves, 97-87
The Phoenix Suns defeated the visiting Minnesota Timberwolves, 97-87, at Footprint Center on Friday.

A 32-20 first quarter carried Phoenix to this wire-to-wire win. They actually maintained a double-digit lead for the final three frames, getting their lead up to 23 points at times. The Suns shot 43 percent from the field and 35 percent from three-point range while the Timberwolves shot 39 percent from the field and 35 percent from long range. Phoenix also out-rebounded Minnesota, 55-50, while out-assisting them, 29-23.

The Timberwolves (53-24) were led by Anthony Edwards, finishing with 17 points, eight rebounds, three assists and three steals. Naz Reid had eight points, 11 rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks. Nickeil Alexander-Walker led the bench with 13 points, five rebounds and two assists, while Monte Morris provided nine points, four rebounds and three assists.

The Suns (46-31) were led by Grayson Allen, amassing 23 points, eight rebounds and two steals. Kevin Durant collected 22 points, six rebounds and six assists. Bradley Beal accumulated 14 points, three rebounds and two assists, while Devin Booker totaled 13 points, three rebounds, 13 assists and three steals. Jusuf Nurkic had 11 points, 15 rebounds, six assists and three steals.

Both teams return to action on Sunday, with Minnesota staying on the road to play the Los Angeles Lakers and Phoenix remaining home to face the New Orleans Pelicans.
