Nets Pull Upset, Secure Win Over Thunder
The Brooklyn Nets defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder, 124-115, at Barclays Center on Friday.

The Nets (16-20) moved to 10-8 at home with a huge win over one of the best teams in the Western Conference, the Thunder (23-11). Oklahoma City had a poor showing on offense and woke up late, but the team could not complete the comeback. With the loss, the Thunder fell to 9-6 on the road. The Nets enjoyed a dominant start and quickly raced to a 39-21 score in the first quarter, setting the tone for the rest of the game. The Nets kept the momentum going and also won the second quarter by a 36-26 score. The Thunder played the second half with a more aggressive approach, and it showed. Oklahoma City won the third quarter by a 32-26 score and the fourth one by a 36-23 score. However, the late push was not enough and Brooklyn ended up holding for the win.

Nic Claxton led the way for the Nets with 23 points and 13 rebounds. Spencer Dinwiddie also had 23 points but also added four assists and three rebounds. Mikal Bridges notched 17 points, eight rebounds and three assists. Cam Thomas had 19 points coming off the bench. Dennis Smith Jr. posted 13 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists. Dorian Finney-Smith and Cameron Johnson each had nine points, three rebounds and two assists.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander posted 34 points, nine rebounds and six assists. Jalen Williams recorded 20 points, five rebounds and five assists. Chet Holmgren recorded 17 points, six rebounds and three assists. Josh Giddey had 13 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Luguentz Dort posted 12 points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals.
