Nuggets Defeat Blazers, 112-103
The Denver Nuggets defeated the visiting Portland Trail Blazers, 112-103, at Ball Arena on Sunday.

This was the first home game that Denevr didn't have a lead in the first half, but that didn't matter. They took control with a 26-21 third quarter and closed the game with a 26-19 fourth quarter. They never gave up the lead in the final frame, getting their lead up to 15 points at times. The Nuggets shot 49 percent from the field and 43 percent from three-point range while holding the Blazers to 46 percent from the field and 36 percent from long range. Denver also won the turnover battle, 13-8.

The Trail Blazers (15-35) were led by Deandre Ayton, accruing 27 points, nine rebounds, four assists and two blocks. Anfernee Simons amassed 26 points, six rebounds and nine assists. No other starter had more than eight points or three assists. Scoot Henderson led the bench with 14 points, eight rebounds and nine assists.

The Nuggets (35-16) were led by Nikola Jokic, collecting 29 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and two steals. Jamal Murray had 21 points, five rebounds, 10 assists and two blocks. Aaron Gordon totaled 12 points, seven rebounds and two assists, while Michael Porter Jr provided 12 points, five rebounds, three assists and three blocks.

Both teams are off until Thursday, with Denver traveling to face the Los Angeles Lakers and Portland returning home to face the Detroit Pistons.
