Suns Hold Off Spurs in Overtime
The Phoenix Suns defeated the host San Antonio Spurs, 128-118, at AT&T Center on Saturday evening.

The Suns got out to a strong start with a, 33-26, lead after one quarter, and they kept the upper hand through the second to take a seven-point lead into the break. The Suns kept the momentum going in the third and managed to increase their advantage to 11, heading into the final quarter. However, the Spurs rallied back in the fourth and tied it up a 110, to force overtime. The Suns did not take anything for granted in extra time and outscored the hosts, 18-8, to secure the road win. This marks the fifth straight loss for the Spurs.

Chris Paul led the Suns with 31 points, seven rebounds, 11 assists, two blocks and a steal, in 39 minutes. Mikal Bridges followed up with 25 points, four assists, a steal and a block, while Deandre Ayton totaled 23 points, eight rebounds, three assists and a steal. The Suns shot 48.5 percent from the field, including 8-of-24 from deep.

Meanwhile, Keldon Johnson led the Spurs with 34 points, three rebounds and five assists, in 41 minutes. Jeremy Sochan followed up with 30 points, eight rebounds and five assists, while Keita Bates-Diop tallied 14 points, four rebounds and four assists. The Spurs shot 44 percent from the field, including 10-of-29 from long range.

The Spurs (14-36) will look to bounce back as they play host to the Wizards on Monday. The Suns (26-25) play host to the Raptors on Monday.
