Jazz Close Out Magic In Utah
The Utah Jazz defeated the visiting Orlando Magic, 112-108, at Vivint Arena on Friday evening.

The Jazz got out to a strong start and led, 36-27, after one quarter, but the Magic came out stronger and cut it to a five-point game by halftime. Both sides came out even in the third and tallied 27 points apiece, as the Jazz maintained a five-point lead heading into the final frame. The Magic kept up the fight in the fourth and rallied to a brief lead, but the Jazz came up clutch in the final minute to secure their second straight win.

Lauri Markkanen led the Jazz with 28 points, 12 rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block, in 36 minutes. Jordan Clarkson followed up with 23 points, 12 rebounds and a steal, while Collin Sexton added 18 points, three rebounds and three assists. The Jazz shot 43.4 percent from the field, including 11-of-35 from deep.

Meanwhile, Franz Wagner led the Magic with 26 points, five rebounds, two assists, four steals and a block, in 35 minutes. Wendell Carter totaled 19 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block, while Paolo Banchero finished with 19 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals. The Magic shot 43.8 percent from the field, including 14-of-36 from long range.

The Magic (16-27) will look to bounce back as they take on the Nuggets on Sunday. The Jazz (22-23) play host to the 76ers on Saturday.
